Lo-fat marinades

Ive got a crockpot and I usually do one of two things.

Slow cook frozen steak in V8 Juice overnight (comes out nice and moist with a tomato flavour.

or

Mix your beef with some sort of sauce or marinade, (honey soy etc) before freezing. Place in the crockpot with a little water to keep it moist (or not if you like it burnt) and leave it over night

or if you don't want to use brown sugar try honey it's natural

soya sauce

garlic

honey

mix it all up put your steak in and leave it in the fridge for a couple of hours and its ready, blade and chuck steak come out primo you wouldn't be able to tell what cut of meat it is :grin:

I was a chef in a former life and when I worked in a top chinese resterant overseas we would cut there rump steak thinly ( always against the grain ) and mix egg white through it ( just enough to coat ) and refridgerate it for a couple of days before using. Great for stirfries. Cook it hot and quick
