HELP - Low energy levels

Recommended Posts

To all the ladies out there! I have spent the last two years training and up until recently I haven't had a problem with low energy levels, but it seems that now I do have really low energy levels, I was wondering whether any of you had any suggestions on a supplement that I could try, I am definetly getting enough food as I am still in the building phase. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated as it now such a mission to get to the gym in the am! :?

Have you had any extra stresses of late and if so, has it been affecting your quality or length of sleep. If so, then you are probably not going to be able to correct that with any supplement and it could also affect your mass building too.

Also, when was the last time you took a week off from everything?

Pushing yourself too hard can compromise your immune system and eventually it all catches up with you.

I'd also get an blood test done to check iron levels.

Some things to try combat the fatigue:

Take a day off or week off - you'll be missing the gym by then

Is your motivation what it used to be? Get inspired by looking at BB websites.

Sleep - on sundays I let myself naturally wake, I find I may be groggy in the morning but it lets my body choose the amount of sleep I need.

Iron supplements can help if that's the issue - get a blood test if needed

Get a good multi-vitamin, take everyday, Blackmores brand is good

Heres a strange tip - but it works for me when it's hard to get up at 4am... I set my alarm at 3am go make a coffee, scull it back, go back to bed and in an hour I'm up and ready to go!

Try a thermo product or L-Carnitine always gets my heart rate up.

I'm no expert - just trying to learn as much as I can. Hope something helps.

I think it was last year that I read some science explaining why this works. Too late at night to have a crack at it but that matches the recipe for the ideal one hour power nap.

Now I'm wishing I tried that when I worked at night
