POWERHOUSE!!!

Just to name a few have/have nots...

Powerhouse doesn't have:

- posers

- mirrors (it only has one lone mirror)

- PTs (except for the 140kg powerlifter variety)

- tonnes of isolation machines

Powerhouse does have:

- a friendly but still competitive atmosphere

- the drive to help all members succeed

- DBs up to 170lb

- more squat racks than I can count

Last time I was down in Wellington I just went there for a casual workout cause I'd heard of it through wrestling. What I got was definately not a casual workout. I had a killer workout and the staff were pretty helpful as well. I've never seen so many squat racks

One of the best gyms I've ever worked out in - both here in NZ and overseas.

Cheers BB,

It was good to have you in The House finally  and had a good training session too.

I pretty much agree with everything already said, it's a paradise for lifters who are dedicated to their sport.

I would love to be able to live in Wellington and train there, but right at the moment that isn't possible, maybe in the next couple years!

Your monthly trips to The House will keep you sated till the big move :pfft:

BEST GYM I HAVE EVER BEEN IN

Cheers Bluto still go that so called :^o 1500lb/682.5kg Test Bar :^o that you helped bend hanging over the door way, with other one.

We aim to please here,

Exodus promoted one towel for each member when they came in.

The House went One better One Towel for every one. :naughty:

These LCDs on top of the Swear Word in here Cardio Gear, got a couple of enquires why we never had them.

We obliged cut from a Harvey Norman catalogue all the big screens and taped them on to the Cardio Gear no complaints after that. \:D/

I am sure we can accomdate the Mirror's in our own special way

Best GYM ever!!!!

I've been to alot of fitness centres, but this was the first real gym I've been to.

OB and the crew are awesome.

If you want to do or witness some hardcore lifting GO TO THE HOUSE!!!!!!!

Hell yeah!

No doubt about it PH is the only gym to train at in Welly.

Big Nickoli & I might come for a drive down for a Saturday train at some stage soon? Maybe we could have a strongman session - we'll bring the Steel Log & Farmers Walks???

Any mirrors at "The House" yet?

I dont even think the mens or womens toilets have mirrors so they'll be no chance of the gym having any but it has been a while NZMM since I was last there. OB may have changed his ways....(Tui ad) yeah right

But surely OB wants to see self obsessed bodybuilders wearing their lycra shorts, otomix shoes and string singlets shadow boxing between sets while staring lovingly at themselves in the mirror?

Yeah, I'm sure that'd be a good way to make friends down at the House! :D

I could always emulate the guy at my gym who spends literally half his time looking at himself in the mirror, tensing his little chest and tris and watching every dumbell curl in the mirror in case his biceps grow! :pfft:

He really is quite hilarious... but I don't think I want to be known as "that guy".

Seriously though, my form is pretty good, but I like to check that I'm not doing anything too lopsided when I squat, deadlift, etc.

It's not always easy to tell what's going on without a mirror.

And it's not like I enjoy looking at my ugly mug at the best of times, let alone when I'm carrying some iron and pulling some ridiculous face.

The only thing that might give off some type of reflection would be the chrome on dumbell handles and barbells...that might work :pfft:

Monkeymuscle, you should head down mate. Theres excellent knowledge and experience at the House and Im sure Ob and the team could help you out.

Cheers, Tonka.

I'll definitely give it a look when I finish up at my current gym early next year.

I've only heard good things about the place!

The Mirror is named after James who hogged it for the whole workout, it was quite ineresting watching him carry DBs, Benchs and everything else over to the Mirror. Just about GPP, mind you he was a Singlet so not unexpected, in these photo's I made him put a T Shirt on, a Pls sweats for the photo shootlaughing.giflaughing.giflaughing.giflaughing.giflaughing.gif we have a image to keep up.
