Lately since I've stopped lifting of injecting any performance enhancing drugs the last few weeks or whatever it's been I've noticed that lots more people in public/shops, at home and at work etc have started approaching me irl and getting inside my 5m radius which I consider to be my personal space and trying to converse with me, asking me stuff and talking shit about their day or weekend, ringing me on my work phone, walking past near me etc. Prior to this didn't have this problem really. It's starting to f*ck me off.

Has anyone else experienced this due to taking a break from lifting?

I'd say it's not because you look smaller/less intimidating but rather you've stopped looking at people like you either want to f*ck them or rip their head off or in some cases both.

In all cases both

@PETN On a side note, do you consider yourself to be born with the confidence / work ethic / skill sets that you have, or did you start out average / pussy and learn to make yourself have the personality that you do?

If its the latter, are there any online resourses or books that you learned from etc?

Nah was only there for 4 days. And yep every time I've trained been weaker than before. Last time bench was down to 150x8, 170x4 type thing and that tapers off pretty quick too. Feel a lot better though, less sore etc and not like I need more sleep all the time.

Hey bro think for most people as they get older they give less of a f*ck about shit in general. Hard to gauge how much of your personality is learned and how much is innate but I can't say I've made any conscious effort to try and develop a specific personality and I can't remember exactly what shit I've read online over course of my life with any real idea of how it has affected how I think/act. Also cant really be fucked writing you an e-book on how not to be a pussy.

Usually reading stuff and getting knowledge doesn't really help you out unless you actually put it into practice. The more often you do something the better you get at it too.

Often with stuff in general it's good to research and read about it yourself but having someone who's an expert show or explain to you in person exactly how to do shit is invaluable. Also being able to objectively identify weaknesses in something then researching and adopting an existing method of which you were previously unaware or designing new systems yourself is something you should constantly be doing.

This! Recognising an issue, addressing it and educating so you can implement better strategies is always the key to moving forward in every area of life.

He dosent go to the gym though.

Not going this week, waste of time.

Its Orientation Week, seen studies etc that alcohol inhibits muscle growth, not drinking today but will be most days till the end of next week, then after that gym lots.

Would be keen to go, but total waste of effort.

On the good side studying better and looking at jobs etc. Not doing actually doing them, but looking at them nonetheless.

bro its never a waste of effort. just go in there, youll fell better for it anyway. also have you learned the art of acting drunk while not actually drunk yet? might come in handy, dont get fully smashed all the time just have a couple and blend in. learn to have fun without getting wasted youll be better off for it... and you wont be messing iwth your gym progress.

good to hear about the studying being better.

Why the f*ck you think your so said all the time.

Nothing wrong with not drinking, plenty of people can have fun without it. But either drink or dont drink, dont act drunk, especially if you are doing this in a club or party etc you are literally doing the exact stereotype of what you dont want people to think you are.

sorry thats not what i meant lmao. i mean when im drunk my personality opens up and i give less fucks and become somehow extroverted or some shit... so when im in that environment where ppl are drinking i practice all the social shit that i would normally be more hesitant / self conscious to do and if its wierd ppl dont give a fk cos think im wasted, but youre right about the whole 'being someone youre not' kind of thing. also white girls who know me in person aint creeped out by me. check my fb pics from clubs and shit as an example might be surprised?   agreed nothing wrong with not drinking, i didnt do it for first 26 yrs of my life, but goddamn when i started it opened new social patheways that i didnt know existed. went down the rabbit hole then came back out.

deviating far from topic sorry OP.
