All true?  Also spend more on massages in a week than comp fees. But then some guys spend that on alcohol and drugs and hookers so I'm kind of doing OK.

yup i feel bad spending money on massages and supplements etc but realise i spent much more on recreational drugs and alcohol in my younger years lol

Went for massage once - some phone number from paper that said 'good massage' or similar. Girl didn't even try do massage. Just strips off clothes etc. Asked about massage after and she's all surprised like I'm first person that's ever asked about that and so she gives it a go and is fucking useless and obviously knew f*ck all about anatomy and probably not even qualified physio. False advertising.

Aside from the less than professional conduct the real icing on the cake was she didn't even have a proper massage table thingy with the face hole. Made a complaint with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand so hopefully she cleaned up her act.

Crack up?

Who are the favourites to win the competitive classes TFB?

You're asking the wrong guy :)

Purely my 2c worth, but a lot of the serious lifters stop bragging about now, as things get real.  Eight weeks out, no-one wants to make rash predictions in case they fail to make weight/ get injured or whatever.  Whether it's raw or equipped, there's tumbleweeds blowing thru the online training journals of a lot of lifters ATM.

I'd be looking for some promising but unknown newcomers - we've seen growth in all the provincial associations, particularly in Wellington, Auckland and Canterbury - particularly in the U83s, U93 men, and U63 women.   You also can't rule out the off-the-grid guy with a rack in his garage, who only surfaces for major meets.

There's also the prospect of qualification for the Asia-Oceania Champs, in Christchurch in December.  Competition will be fierce, because in eight age group (Open, Masters etc) numbers will be tightly controlled.  Generally, there's only room for one person per age-weight bracket (so , so a lot of people will be aiming to finish first in their bracket.

Either way, should be a good few days :)

@perform.nz you should fly up to GPC nats mate that would be mean to have your services during the comp.  10 -15 min Massage after squats are done for those who want it. You'd make a killing. Have hit 2 x deadlift p.bs directly after a massage.

That would actually be a lot of fun, but can't this year sorry.

Thats mean to here though!
