Transgenders in strength sports

Competing no.. but everything else who cares. Well apart from everyone commenting on anything other than the competing aspect. Other then for that purpose why is there this issue with Transgender people?

it leaks into other areas of life though, say for example in schools now someone who decides one day they are female, they can use female toilets. surely thats not an ideal situation ?

i wouldnt be that keen if i had daughters in an all girls school and some troubled kid that likes to wear dresses can go in toilet with them ?

just one example off the top of my head as it came up in nz recently, i think at marlborough girls college.

just saying, there needs to be more to it than just "oh you're a girl now? no worrries mate lets snip that dick of yours off and away you go" lol

I'd rather they were open minded than bound by the dated beliefs of some closeminded people who hate the idea of anyone thinking differently from what's apparently "normal". It's like saying gay people need help like they choose to be gay.. well in my opinion anyway.

Everyone uses the girls toilet example. Do I think a boy who thinks he's a girl wanting to use the ladies is a problem? Why is it a problem. For the most part no one will even notice and what do you think that person is going to do? I mean if a ftm Trans wants to use the men's you wouldn't know unless you're peeking over the cubicle wall and are disappointed to not be seeing the penis you were hoping to see hahaha ha

I mean who gives a f*ck. Sure I don't want some creeper dressing up as a woman to use the ladies but I don't think that is going to all of a sudden become a thing just cos we allow people to be who they want to be.

why design society around creeps, creepers always wanna creep . i can see it being a bit wierd for both them and the other actual girls if girl with penis flops it out in changing room or something (can't imagine them receiving such a good reaction from that, only be damaging by the way most teenagers would react with bullying etc. ) tho... toilets, no issue not like you see anything unless you being a creep

My bad on toilet example. I guess everyone gonna have their own opinion on this. Whatever happens I reckon there needs to be pretty thorough assessment of whether someone is legit having these thoughts or is just bored or crazy or seeking attention before any surgical or hormonal changes are made.

i dont really understand that chromosome stuff PETN was talking about but potentially if it's a DNA level thing, you could just regulate that way for schools etc right?

Yes but what you're doing is catering to purely the physical chromosomal identity of the individuals. And strictly speaking has a penis and is male etc etc is how that's going to work. It's pretty complex due to getting into the emotional and mental aspects. Do people suffering gender identity issues require help.. hell yes they do. Is it as simple as telling them they're male or female and deal with it. .. no I don't believe that. I actually know a few trans people so I have more empathy for them as people. I don't feel like I need to understand it (how could I?) but I do feel like it's not my place to pass judgement on them either. And knowing them I don't feel like they just made a choice. It's not like a guy who likes dressing up on weekends... they're adopting a lifestyle change that will most of the time alienate them from their family and friends, jobs and any sense of the things we would take for granted. We don't need to feel sorry for them either, just accept that not everyone fits a specific mould. Like all of us misfits on here :)

I've gotta say Harry seems to be talking the most sense here.

I disagree with competing decisions of late and think it needs to be "sex" based rather than gender, due to the physical advantages those born XY have over XX in most sports.

However with everything else its a case of "to each, their own".

I probably would've shared the views of others here in my younger years but as I've aged I guess I've worked out whats worth worrying about! Other people's gender identity definitely isn't something I'm going to stress out over, unless Jenae Croc wants to compete against me! :-D

I know a number of gender queer people in my personal life, including trans, gender neutral, and whatever other buzzwords there are.

And in all honesty its a mixed bag with these people. Some of them are so genuine and down to earth and dont make their gender identity a big deal for anyone else, and Im convinced that these people are legit.

On the other hand, in otago we have this one particular gender queer asshat who carries a rat in their handbag and publishes articles in local newspapers on how the patriarchy is out to get them and feels paranoid as f*ck about everything.

She (identifies as no gender) is totally full of shit and just wants attention.

Some people don't end up with normal xx (female) or xy (male) chromosome pairings. E.g. xxy, xyy, xxyy, or xx where one or both of the x chromosomes contains the (male) SRY gene.

Years ago me a few mates had a run in with some fa`fafines on the other side of K`rd.

I`ll tell you now I won`t be f*cking with them anymore, they rolled us lol.

Hahaha. One time me and my mates, one of them an indian guy were at a club in Manukau I think. Indian mate goes toilet and comes back saying this guy told him if he goes back to the toilet he was gonna get a good hiding. Indian mate points him out so we go over to have a word, we get closer to the dude, next minute, it's a fa'afa hahaha. So we just told our indian mate to go piss outside next time lol

tbh some girls competing in powerlifting in NZ and Aus with test levels higher than the average males. But no one complains about them. basically male on a blood test level.

I  have  that Hormonal imbalance, my testosterone levels are higher than a average woman, I would probably be tested twice if u go to compete lol

I said females with higher testosterone levels than men. Not females with above average base testosterone levels.

Is there really any difference between a man who wants to be more masculine than naturally possible using hormones to achieve that goal, and a man who wants to be more feminine than naturally possible doing the same?

You'd think more of you would be at least a little sympathetic to trans people and their struggle.

As for bathrooms etc, creepers gonna creep.
You really think that many people gonna go trans just so they can listen to some girl take a shit from the cubicle next door? I doubt it.

In a perfect society a trans person could go to either bathroom and it wouldn't fucking matter because we would all act like adults and mind our own goddamn businesses.

The difference is that most guys aren't taking male hormones to look more masculine. More so to put on muscle/gain strength only.

Girls taking male hormones would be more comparable and that's fucking disgusting when they f*ck it up and get male features.

If you're into tranny types then cool. Doesn't affect me. But speaking from a biological perspective they do this and hopefully they can't pass on their fucked up genetic material which caused their mental illness and same thing for people attracted to them. It's a mechanism for removing shitty genes and genes for being a weird c*nt from gene pool by preventing reproduction. Same as being homosexual.

I want to do exactly what you described more than anything, no fking way would I transition to do it though.

That article is a load of shit. They do have an advantage still in the same way that someone who trained on gear and gh for 10 years then goes on trt for 6 months  has an advantage over someone who has always been natty who has same test level (now) as trt guy.

Hormones when youre a grown adult isn't same as hormones much earlier in life when body is developing still.

Other aspects to it too which are completely ignored. Whoever wrote that was an idiot. Guess that's why you wrote science in quotes Nate?

I'm not convinced the "science" in this case proves anything.

Matt Kroc transitioned onto female hormones and goes as Jenae now. Awesome all round person, but reality is she quite comfortably smashed 160 or so for 5 on bench last week. Now back in the day Matt would have done a shit load more, but the average woman ain't coming close to that. I guess that's why Jenae said she won't compete in powerlifting again.

My view is sport should be sex based not gender based. Only for the reason of athletic fairness.
