protein bars

So i have always been a whole food guy but like any bodybuilder i always look at supplements and the new ones coming out dont realy have much faith in them thats why think the protein testing is a great idea.

Now this is just me asking question cause im not having a go at the supplement brand im about to mention im just using it as an example, so im at the supermarket today and i see a protein bar made by limitless in chch (thought made in nz) and reading it looked great and 25kg of high quailty protein even better but as i read on its made in usa which now gets me worried but still no big deal there are good supplements made in usa but this is were i have a few questions.

The bar is only 57g now to even get 25g of good protein you need 32g of a protein isolate now i dont know how you can get this much powder in a bar so is this just a sale gimick like dave palumbo has said if it says nutrition facts there can be a 20% difference on what they state on the label but if it says supplement info have to be accrarte, i just want to know what it says on the label is what im putting in my mouth, any thoughts on this?

Cheers mate! If you think protein testing is a good idea, share the video on Facebook. We need to keep reaching new eyeballs if we want the pledges to keep coming in.

Re the protein bar... remember that typically those bars are basically protein powder, and not much else. Just enough water/flavour/glue to keep it in bar form. So without knowing anything further about this particular brand, I don't think it's impossible for a 57g bar to contain 25g of protein.

I haven't heard this one. It sounds a bit strange to me... @eLm0, can you weigh in on this?

In America you don't even need to prove that what is on the label matches what is in the product.

Either way 25g in 57g is easily possible, our Aussie bodies HPLC bars have 45g of protein in a 100g bar which is a higher percentage than 25/57
