Used one before a long time ago. Tbh I didn't find it much different to a hack squat only difference is the v machine pivots on an arc where the hack squat runs on straight rails. The end result is pretty much the same. The arc pivot of the v Machine slightly brings your back into the movement and should assist your knee issue due to that. But I'm not sure exactly... What's the problem with the knee and why is it preventing you barbell squatting?

Just still having the odd issue with stability after meniscus injury. On the times I have gone squatting there has been a bit of pain coming out of the hole. Any lateral movement also complicat s things further v squats seem to lesser the chance of this for now.

 

the other idea was knee wrap on bung knee?
