looking for a mentor

Troy

Recommended Posts

im doing  an online PT course and it requires a mentor to sign off log books and monitor some practical components.  The mentor needs to have 2 years work experience in the PT, is there any PT on the shore or relatively close that can help me with this

Hey Troy - welcome to Gymnation. Is that you in the profile pic? Impressive, if it is!

Do you need your mentor to be experienced in any particular field - ie, bodybuilding contest prep, powerlifting, etc?

Hi Pseudonym, thanks for the compliment and reply,

they can be experienced in any field as long as they have work experience for 2 years in PT, and is currently REPs registered

@HumanPerformance, any suggestions?

Troy, another way to tackle it could be to approach the gyms you most want to work at, and get them to suggest a mentor for you. That way you're already establishing a relationship with them, which can only make things easier later on.

I keep going back to your profile pic... awesome, bro! How old are you? Have you competed?

why no REPS?

I mentor a few up and coming trainers and sign off their work, but they are all AUT students and as you know I don't believe in REPS so am not registered, otherwise would have been happy to help. He would have to go to millinium or even anytime in mirangi bay.

Why no REPS?  (not that i know what that is)

oh i see, thanks for the offer though. im not sure of the difference between REPs and non REPs,
@Bruce Al i havent researched it much but i think it just supposed to make you more likely to get a job in the gym, including jobs in some countries overseas.
