The 2015 Commonwealth Champs are on right now in Vancouver... today was the women's classic, and NZL is doing AMAZINGLY!

Golds to Trish Muldrock, Dora Togiaso, and others, an epic Silver to Carli Dillen in a class of eleven Open U63s, including a gold medal squat and silvers in bench and dead.

Link is http://cw.plmeet.com/ - Vancouver is three hours ahead of NZL.

Look out for other Kiwis including Tui Halotokoua,  Josh Tukua, Ivan Madsen and  Vincent Capes earlier tomorrow, and Ethan Foote and Joe Whittaker in the later sessions.

Lifting Legend Clarry Parsons - Silver in the Masters-4 (70-79 years) U83s, he may have taken the Gold on bench based on count-back/ bodyweight.

Tui Halotokoua took Gold in the Open U74s with 215/ 150/ 260/ 625kg total - that's damn near a triple BW raw squat.

Vincent Capes ran up against a Welsh giant in the Sub-Junior U74s but came away with Silvers.

Later today Tim McEwan and Angus Blair are up, and tomorrow Ethan Foot and Joseph Whittaker are the first session.

One of the lads from down here, Joel Larter, lifted today. Ended up going 202.5/127.5/210 so 540 Total in Junior U74s.

Nursing a hamstring injury from about five weeks out and barely squatting four plates since then he did well to hit just 5kg under his PB.

He also missed his last bench as he went for 132.5kg and tried for Bronze in the Bench but no good.

Also he was 5th after his 210kg pull so decided to go balls out and went 245kg on his third to try get 3rd place and end up on the podium but to no avail. His PB is 230-240kg odd I believe. Could have been more conservative and added to his total but that's the nature of competition when placings etc are at stake in competitive classes and international competition.
