Just putting it out there that Industrial Athletic now have the Texas Power Bars in stock if anyone has the intention of getting one id get in quick because once they are gone they have to wait a few months to get them back in the country. Mine should hopefully arrive today or tomorrow. They also have all the Oly bars and technique bars in stock to.

I have one. It's good, I wish I had of got the okie though. I know the Texas bars have a really good rep but the okie power bar has much better knurling and is stiffer. Same goes for the DL bars. More grip and stiffer.

+1 to the knurling difference. didn't lift with both so didn't compare stiffness but mate has both in his home gym and the okie was better knurling. cheaper too I think?

Well not in NZ if you are buying 1 bar and want it now. That's why I bought bar off IA they took care of the shipping and duty costs so you are just buying the bar and no hassle or getting screwed with exchange rate. Most people overseas aren't really interested in selling and shipping you a single bar to you in nz. That's what I found anyway. Eleiko is best power bar and you can buy in Auckland but it's over twice the price.

Good to know. I looked at the Eleiko bar but jeepers they were expensive.   Im sure ill be happy with the Texas though .

yeah at that end of bars I reckon you're splitting hairs with the differences between them. they are all awesome.

I cant tell a different between eleiko and texas power bar which iv used both quite a bit. obviously might notice something at a much heavier weight but not for me. 220kg on either feels exactly the same.

texas deadlift bar on the other hand is mean for pulling a big deadlift, gets bendy as low as 200kg

Hey Guys!

Whats the go with iron plates on these TPB?

Anyone here know if it`s all good or not?, I'm thinking yes, but bumper plates more suitable, ( fricken expensive tho). I Know Realtalk has one, but not sure if he use bumpers or not.

Cheers Ears!

As long as you're not a dumbass with it you should be fine.

They're a sturdy bar and put up with some punishment.

this

you will notice the feel of it compared to a shit bar, well at least i did.  no idea what it is specifically but can tell when holding a good bar vs a crap bar and its not just the knurling

if anything feels like it would put up with more punishment than others.

TPB Still not in stock, sent email last week to IA, wanting to pay and then wait but no reply. Anyway after reading good write ups (on this forum) about  Volt Olympic training bar, I went ahead and bought this instead. Can't wait to deadlift!!.
