So you knew what time the comp was on yet you sent a guy down to drop off the prizes AFTER the comp had finished and everyone had gone home, and then leave them with someone who has nothing to do with GPC? #wow

Why aren't people getting things in writing, especially when everyone knows what goes on in the industry. Just seems obvious to me when setting up anything from supplement deals, advertising, promoting etc etc.

bit of a different situation, when someone offers you sponsorship or help or prizes or a donation whatever, first and respectful thing to do is be like "ok great thanks" not "i need this in writing"

people just need to not be dishonest scumbags and this wouldnt be an issue

Yeah I can see why it may be off putting to put things in writting in a situation such as The GPC's but perhaps its time to start doing that if these companies can't be relied upon? It's not like theyre getting nothing from it. They're getting a shit load of exposure to a tight knit group of athletes that will usually show loyalty and support to organisations and businesses that do the same.

As for Amit's situation, we can only assume that he had nothing in writting as he's avoided the question like legs day but I guess hind sight is 20/20, when you go into business with someone you consider a mate, you don't expect them to screw you over and we don't even know if thats whats happened in this instance. However, I guess the lesson is, if you have things in writting it can help erase some ambiguity and afford you more leverage from a legal perspective. I personally wouldn't trust many people in the "fitness industry" as far as I could throw them.

Sorry but I don't buy that, virtually every other sport has contracts written up for sponsorship deals. It's far from disrespectful to put pen to paper and confirm from both parties whats acceptable. It goes both ways, you aren't just noting down what you demand as prizes or giveaways.

There seemed to be a breakdown in communication at Mysupps end but it's not the end of the world.

The comp ran well, prize winners still got prizes. It was a disappointment we couldn't promote Mysupps as we had hoped to but no big deal.

Lesson learned, get something in writing and have everything on hand well before the event so neither party feels hard done by.

We have moved on so let's leave it there

Hey Guys, not silent just haven't jumped on here busy with work. We sponsor lots of different local events and sports as I find that works better for us than advertising in the paper or radio. I do once again sincerely apologize to Tom and the team was never our intention to not provide the prizes. We thought the prize giving was at the end of the event and looked at the fb event timings rather than just picking up the phone and calling. We've worked with doing giveaways with so many people, companies, gyms and clubs.

I do want to resolve things and be involved with future events and think getting things in writing is not a bad idea but also provide the prizes upfront as we did today for the local power lifting event.

All our giveaways a real thats actually how I met Tom:

We try our best to support local raffles and part took in your fundraising event so you could rep NZ in USA. I did avoid the question from recardo as I did not get things in writing. I'm not dissing anyone just presenting my version of events so hopefully no one has to go through the same things. Moral of it all for me is to get it in writing avoid the confusion and blame. Thanks Amit

Lol wtf...

I won that tub of night formula through Facebook fair and square and then I put it in my raffle and added your company to the thank yous. I was just being a good c*nt cause I liked you and wanted to give you some exposure cause I buy my protein from you.

So technically you did not contribute. I contributed that myself because it was completely separate to the fundraising raffle. I added it to make it better and I don't use supplements like that i only use protein powder so was no use to me.

Come on... Don't try make me look ungreatful because I'm not, the fundraising raffle didn't involve you if you want to bring it up. The gpc bench wars did though (well was meant to)

Anyway apology accepted, got my point across.

I think it stands to reason ... If you look how Moe runs his operation it has to . NZFBB is a private company ,thats all,He is not duely elected by a council ,committee or member votes ,he is self apointed Chairman and share holder of a Company he made up ,That,s all,he is not the President of Anything ?? To be President of Anything one must be voted in . He dissbanded the NZ IFBB by way of blackmail to the committee members ,saying he will unpart of knowledge of some of there activity,s to the public ,to which he set them up with , the rest left because they basicaly hated him .Which is why many of the IFBB stalwart,s and IFBB forerunner,s of past no longer have anything to do with the NZFBB .This left him with the Company NZFBB, to which he uses as his Show Promotion Company .He has no Sole Rights to the Promotion of IFBB Shows here in NZ , he has just created the illusions he has .Paul Graham is the head of the IFBB in Australasia and the oversee of it,s activities in NZ . Basicaly there is no boss of the IFBB in NZ , just a guy who run,s shows unchallenged because no one knows any better ,could be wrong though but story has it , it,s probably not .

He has been informed he does not have sole rights to the IFBB here in NZ and other promoters are welcome to apply to run IFBB shows via Paul and Carol Graham .

Wow, that would be an interesting turn of events! But just to be clear, so far this is still unverified information, right?

Blackburn, based on the writing style, I'm guessing it was you who sent the message to Amit? How did you come by it?
