Reuben's squat depth

I was there that day - and yes, maybe it looked harsh. But, it's important to note that:

a. at least two judges out of three red-carded Tonka's lift on the locked knees issue - I don't know if there's a video showing whether it was two or three reds;

b. the Chief Judge (centre) calls 'rack' when "the lifter is motionless (in the apparent final position" - it's a balance between keeping a lifter standing around with a heavy-ass weight on their shoulders, and giving a lifter a reasonable time to complete the lift.

Incidentally, there's no prohibition on handlers providing verbal cues - one CDPA guy is legendary for his machine-gun-like "down-down-down-down-down" which seems to go on for ever before he goes "up-up-up".

Putting that aside, Wookie's got it right - it's the best meet in the country, and the atmopshere at the 'house is something you have to experience.

Reuben is the man. Just asks why then accepts it. Some people could learn from that instead of throwing wobblys at comps. Was a good squat, so deep.

It is what it is. No point crying over spilt milk guys.

Who is competing at this comp TFB? Is there any big records expected to be broken? Give us the pre comp write up/predictions.

I was just sharing the video of the lift in question in case it hadn't been seen by others

You're all correct its completely derailed a thread promoting one of the premier lifting comps in the country.  I apologise and wasnt my intention Ill delete the video.

Thread could do with a tidy up Tom

yeah seperate it into a general judging thread or some shit, or just delete, this should be positive thread
