Drying out for comp

I don't really interpret data thats not my own. Generally speaking, you'd hope the authors of a paper have already done that before publishing, its kinda how it works. Sometimes the author's interpretation is wrong and usually they get called out on it. As I'm not providing primary research, my data interpreting days are over, at least for now. I just represent the evidence base and where my opinion differs from it I think I usually make that clear.

The way I interpret this whole drying out and dehydration obsession is that usually the fat ones who havnt dieted have these outrageous drying out plans.

Shouldn't you look stage ready like a week or two before the comp. I mean seriously if you are 4% bodyfat then you'll still look great and beat everyone who isn't 4% even if you are taking steroids that have water retention. I would almost bet money on that.

I think people do expect a lot of magic from changing your water around a little bit lol but when it comes to achieving that real thin skin dry as hell look then you have to take into account all the contributing factors. I don't think it's that complicated though as you say. If you're in shape you're in shape. Bit 2 guys in the same condition on Monday and one does a protocol to dry out and one doesn't. If it works then the first guy wins.

Best advice I ever got on this forum regarding Comp prep was to change as little as possible. You told me mucking around with sodium / water loading / depleting / diuretics / heavy carb loads etc could add 5% to your physique or drop it 50%

Best I ever looked was when I did basically nothing, just stopped drinking as much water, put a tan on and ate some extra carbs lol

Have to agree, unless you know what you're doing then less is more. Changing too much up just adds too many variables that may not go in your favour

Expel from MHP will get your drier than that Guy williams c*nt from Jono and Ben show,im talking bone dry.

Eat parsley,its a natural diuretic.

6-8 litres of water 9days out taper down to 4litres 5days out then 2 litres 2days out right untill day before show cut water @3pm suck on ice cubes comp day and minimal sips as needed.

When it comes to drying out for me personally not much of a fan of the water loading aspect due to going to the loo like rather drop water when a day out from the show and use parsley which is cheaper then spending money on diuretics or any other supplement that helps one to dry out
