eating enough

I want to get bigger and stronger. Atm my eating is definitely letting me down in terms of progression. How do you guys make sure you're eating enough every single day?

I find that i eat well for a while but always f*ck it up on weekends or by forgetting my lunch and/or skipping breakfast because im too rushed. From when i leave my house for work to when i get home is 12 hours which doesn't help. I cant buy food near work in lunch breaks etc because its in the middle of nowhere.

Im thinking the only solution is to become a tuppaware phaggot and cook for the next 3 or 4 days twice a week. Anyone do this and how long til you get sick of eating the same shit 5x per day or whatever? What are good meal ideas (no chicken)?

For me personally:

-No im not going to do IF. I actually want to make progress.

-No im not interested in muscle fuel or an alternative. Im in aus for one thing and more importantly id need 5x of those meals per day at least which would cost $350ish pw which is an excessive expense.

Keen to hear what everyone does though, even if its IF or buying pre-made meals

Firstly dont be a bratty faggot and say you want variety. Youre not 2 sitting in a kids chair. Chicken is easy to cook, cheap and is great source of protein. Rice is great for carb source, same with potatos/kumara. Keep it simple then use sauces/herbs to keep things interesting taste wise.

Also whats this no time in the morning? I start work at 1am and have my breakfast made in 2 mins. Protein + oats

Yeah bro idc about variety. Ill happily eat the same meal multiple times per day for weeks as long as i can get it down.

I hate eating chicken when in energy surplus. There are plenty of other affordable protein sources so i dont think chicken is a necessity especially when i find it disgusting and will struggle to eat it.

Will have to invest in herbs and spices. Any advantage to eating rice over pasta? I prefer pasta taste wise. Dont eat potatoes but i do enjoy kumara. Wouldnt rice or pasta be more energy dense though and thus better?

I do same thing for breakfast and pre gym however i skip it if im running late for work because i slept through first alarms. Sleep is important too, not just eating. I usually only get 4.5-6h sleep so every little bit counts.

wake up 5.30am

Leave for work 6am

get home from work 6pm

leave for gym 6.30pm

Get gym 7pm

Leave gym 9pm

Get home 9.30pm

8 h sleep. Zero spare time or time to cook. If i do that or anything else apart from work and gym i lose sleeping time. Thats my days 6 days per week. Get sunday off.

Meal prep all your meals on a Sunday? Cook up a f*ck load of mince, steak, rice and pasta. Buy a bulk of tuna cans. A few bottles of sauces etc and you can make up all your meals . Put them in those plastic sandwhich bags and freeze them. Take out your 4 or so meals for the next day each night . Chuck in some frozen peas, beans and carrots if you really wanna get adventurous. Probably dont even need to freeze them just chuck in fridge.

I pre cook a weeks meals and freeze. Then it is simple just grab the days meals out of freezer and go.

Sunday has to be your prep day and just figure out bulk recipe for meals.

Personally l hate chicken too but l have sorted out ways to get around it. Chicken and pumpkin pie is a great option, also chicken soup.

I cut the chicken into cubesales it go down easier.

+1 on pizza lol

i try and pre prepare as much as possible so on sundays i make my lunches for during the week at work, 1 big container per day, protein, rice, mixed vege, leave a few sauces in the fridge at work to mix it up.. I make 5 the same each week and sometimes change it week to week.

this is easier than taking 6 meals a day or carting round a cooler bag or paying for musclemeals or one of the other 50 variants that are all quite expensive when you consider the cost of the ingredients in them (no hate on people that do use them), just take one massive as meal and chip away at it through the day.

if you can get used to not eating traditional "breakfast" foods then you can pre-prepare breakfasts the same, that way u can take breakfast with you and eat it bit later in the day if you are too rushed

tuna + rice + frozen mixed veg

chicken + rice  + frozen mixed veg

mince + rice + frozen mixed veg

steak + rice + frozen mixed veg

are my usual combos, such variety lol but does the job, tastes fine like im not a pussy i eat it cold half the time.

You already seem to know the answer bro.

Preparation and Organisation.

Honestly once it becomes habit it's not that hard. I cook usually twice a week. Have everything ready.

You already listed the reasons why it doesn't work so just fix those and you should be golden eg Get up on time, have a phaggyboi lunch bag with four or five meals to take to work or out with you when you go out places etc. You're at a size where you need a lot of food to even maintain let alone grow so you have to start investing yourself more and more as you become more advanced physique and strength wise.

Yeah i figured i have to pre-prepare meals or buy stuff like tuna. Im a bit concerned about eventual mercury poisoning though if i keep eating 12+ cans of tuna every day so might just keep 48 cans at work, use it as a backup.

Atm plan is:

breakfast

150g oats $0.20

90g wpc/wpi $3

Peaches/mangoes $1

at work

500g pasta $1

2L milk free

1-1.2kg beef -$15

150g almonds -$4

Pregym/gym/post gym

300g oats $0.40

1L energy drink $6

180g wpc/wpi blend-$6

Fruit salad-$1.50

+ Any left overs from work food.

Will start trying to eat this every day plus whatever else i feel like. Think costs just over $35 which is ok. Dunno if its too much or too little so will give it a few days and see if it needs adjustment.

Yeah bro it smells like actual live chickens if theyre wet. Rather eat goat meat.

fair enough, each to their own. i don't really eat lamb or pork if i can help it, i reckon both of them smell animal-y as (go figure)

what type of beef you buy ? steak or mince?
