2015 Olympia

With the Olympia being two weeks I am surprised that there hasn't been a thread started for the Olympia . There will be a couple of kiwis competing in the physique class jake campus and one person from NZ can't think of his name off hand. Know that moe will be judging at the Olympia after I found that out on his Instagram page. Moe being the first ever kiwi to compet and judge at the Olympia that in its self is awesome. My top five for the mr Olympia this year are

1 phil Heath for the win

2 Kai Greene

3 big rammy and from the photos that I have seen of big rammy on Instagram got top three written all over it

4 Dennis wolf

5 Shawn rodden

As for the other classes at the Olympia not sure who I am going to pick to win

Peter Hardwick has judged an Olympia before. I think the one in 83' where Arnold came back and won when he probably shouldn't have. But yes person to both compete and judge he is the first. He wasn't born here or did he get his pro card here though. That would be like Phil Heath moving Ito NZ and us saying he an NZ bodybuilder... But whatever.

Heath will win again. Who cares about the rest of the placings

Jake has got 3 x 2nd places at IFBB pro shows in the last few months so it's obvious he has a package the judges are looking for. I'm predicting top 10 which would be huge.

Fawad Ahadi (the other kiwi) is looking dynamite, he's a bit smaller but I think he will compete well as he has won an overall pro show and think he will place well

Will be super interesting to see how they place against each other. They both have very different physiques. Personally I think farad or whatever his name is has a much nicer physique but he is tiny irl

Its pretty predictable that Phil will win. Hes just in a league of his own really . Muscle bellys and insertions. Kai could come in 30 kg heavier and shredded and still not beat him. Unless Phil comes in out of shape but Hany Rambod said its the best Phil hes ever seen this year.

lol it would most likely be quite pathetic, don't think they have any energy by that point to land any decent hits. apparently some the guys pretty close to passing out condition just holding those poses

Yeah but its better than just watching them stand there in their undies posing :pfft:

Yeah, aesthetically I prefer Fawad's physique too. His shorter height gives him an advantage in appearing more solid and compact. But in a lineup the taller guys tend to be a bit more dominant. Ordinarily he and Jake would be in different classes, wouldn't they?

No there is only 1 open class in the pro league Pseudo.  Just like in regular bodybuilding guys can look great by themselves but appear different in a lineup.  The taller physiques have been rewarded lately so it will be interesting to see how the judge at the olympia.

Interestingly I think Jake may possibly be the first NZ born and raised Olympian.  Fawad was born in Afghanistan.  Moe was Lebanon???  Sonny Schmidt was born in NZ but raised in Western Samoa I believe.  Someone will be able to provide clarification on this?
