Today was women and up to U83s

A promising junior newcomer, Summer from Canterbury, set new records in both Junior and Open equipped women's.

Tasha Williams records amongst a 535 total in Open U84s equipped

Trish Muldrock records galore in Masters-III U47kg class

And possibly the lift of the day, Harry (Equipped Junior U74 from Auckland) with a 260kg deadlift, over three and a half times bodyweight).

Tomorrow 21lifters, should be another good day.

Day two was also a great day, with 21 lifters in the U93 class and upwards.

HIghlights included Steve Lousich breaking a 4-yo record in M2/120+ equipped bench of 250.5kg, Tonka giving it all and zeroing in on 500 Wilks points, Hayden Lee opening on a NZ junior squat record (can't remember class or weight, sorry), and an epic tustle in the Masters-III (60-69 yo) U93s which came down to bodyweight after a tie on total.

Wookie dropped in just in time to spot the second flight - comes in handy when most attempts are over 300kg

I felt awful about it...hate to let Old Bull down. I simply had zero time and could only do the squats.

Horrible feeling spotting failed 380kg squats. Felt gutted for Reuben.

Hey was good to have you at the crucial time. I was always just doing squats too, Mrs said you were a very lovely guy.

Would have liked to see the deads too.

Hayden Lee getting 330q squat, 188.5kg bench, 282.5 deadlift as a u120 junior was epic!

801kg total is mental at his age.  Gonna be one to watch in the future

Real nice guy too. Apologized to him after the rack stuff up and he was cool about it, just wanted that 330! Real happy he got that would have been so guilty if he didn't.
