Natural Physique Competitions

I do not believe in the necessity to bulk. A good diet program with ample carbs and protein need not bulk you but just supply you with food necessary for growth.

Why put fat on just to have to take it off?

As for abs that is just a question of training program.

Can't grow if I eat on maintainance or deficit. Need to grow my abs for a competition. The small surplus ensures minimal fat gain. But will cut it back more depending on the fat gain.

The NZ Fitness Expo is coming up 11-12 July which has the NZ Fitness Model Search. It's a natural 'fitnesds' physique competition with wicked prizes including $1,000 cash, product sponsorship from Cellucor & Nutririon Systems, a professional photoshoot, a feature in the NZ Fitness magazine, Canterbury Biltong, Justine's Protein Cookies the chance to ne a NZ Fitness Expo ambassador for 2016 and more!

It's open to women and this year for the first time there's a men's division too!! We're not looking for bodybuilders - it's a natural physique style competition where we're looking for the ideal 'fitness' model or 'beach body' model if that makes sense. Get all the details and register at www.nzfitnessmodelsearch.co.nz and get all the NZ Fitness Expo event details at www.nzfitnessexpo.co.nz.

Wicked opportunity and some AMAZING prizes! Have you got what it takes? Maybe give it a go...

Hi _jco,The only late season tested show in NZ is the  INBA Southern Lakes in Queenstown in late September called the Southern Lakes Classic. http://www.inbanewzealand.org/contest-calendar.html

Obviously this isnt in Auckland though but can be semi affordable if you get a cheap flight/accomodation etc.

They test class winners and anyone who looks overly suspect of using (not my words).IMO their is a big difference between the size of most of the guys in the INBA and the non tested feds as their is the threat of anyone being tested which keeps the number of guys "on" at INBA level down from other feds so if you are looking for the fairest playing field for a natty then I would suggest the INBA.

Usually as far as Auckland comps go October is the Nationals for most federations and occasionally Novemember is qualifiers for the next season, once you get into December that is usually only overseas international shows like the Universe etc.

INBA do Body Building (trunks with legs showing) and Physique Classes (in Boardies) and a few competitors do both so they can show their hard work on their legs.

If you are not too phased on going up against guys who may be using then NABBA NZ also normally have their Nth Harbour Show late October or early November and have an athletic class which I would recommend looking at as well. This show normally has really good numbers from 70 -100 contestants and is in a small school theatres so has a great crowd atmosphere.

NZIFBB have also started doing a Northland Classic show North of Auckland whihc is around the saem time as the NABBA Nth Harbour, they have Physique and Bodybuilding Classes too.

I hope this helps mate, I reckon go for it and get you competitive feet wet!

I'm sorry but, this isn't a natural comp. You don't do drug testing and you have no idea who is competing and what drug/supplement regime they are on. Your expos official personal trainer that you had last expo or the one before wasnt who you thought he was. So you have no credibility saying it is a natural show unless you drug test. It's probably not your fault and I'm not attacking you but it's just misleading that's all I'm saying. People deserve to know the truth when it comes to the fitness Industry. I'm sure you of all people would agree with that..
