Where do you guys buy bulk chicken breast?

The mad butcher normally have specials on chicken breast and cheaper to buy compare to buying them from the supermarket

Yeah mad butcher use to have skin on chicken breast specials for $9.99kg but then they put up their price by $2. So then i was like nah your not my mate ya dirty old c*nt and went to pak n save. Which sometimes have specials for $9.89

On a slight tangent, but you know what makes me rage? When your "boneless skinless chicken breast" has slivers of breast bone and cartilage and gristle still attached to it. No recipe in the history of cooking has ever called for chicken breast with bone fragments still attached. No cook will ever be pleased to see bits of cartilage in the middle of their meat. "Thank God, they've included the gristle..." said no-one, ever.

 

So why do they do it? It's just shoddy butchery, and there's NO excuse for it!

Virtually every place I've ever bought chicken breast from, Wookie. Supermarkets, Mad Butchers, the lot.

 

You wouldn't think it was so hard to buy boneless chicken breast that was, well, boneless.

i find when its on special or in bulk packs they put less effort in tidying it up. 

i buy very cheap breast over here, 5$/kg, but yeh at that price they're not making masterpieces of butchery lol and sometimes i have to get little bits off.;

if you buy skinless and smaller packs they tend to be done better

Dunno if this helps but..........

Had $200 worth of New World vouchers last year, emailed them, asked them to do it in bulk chicken breast. They put me through to the head of the butchery department. He did it for $7.40/kg SKIN ON boneless breast. Easy to rip the skins off. F'all weight in the skin. cheaper than pak save by far. If you buy in bulk im sure your local new world will do you a deal and they said they dont mind me asking for a deal in bulk :)
