haha knew you would like this

"Lets take a closer look. These days it seems everyone is a Personal Trainer, Fitness Expert, Nutritonist, or Gym Instructor. You can gain these qualifications online or simply by having a good body and showing it off in a bikini on social media. Models who didn't quite make it in the fashion and beauty world have turned their attention to the fitness industry and have labelled themselves as 'experts' who want to 'inspire' people to look like them. Qualifications? Well they can fit into a size 6 pair of jeans, look good in underwear through a bathroom mirror, and buy millions of followers on social media."

Great article, especially the quality of care segment. So tired of trainers giving one size fits all routines to all walks of life at the gym! Crossfit chin ups and medicine ball slams are not for everyone!

I remember when you would get a personalized routine where you would work on weaknesses and maintain strengths,,,

The sad thing is the guy is right, it is too far gone to bring back now and it is so sad how vanity orientated the local gyms have become.

How I miss the so called "Dungeons" where people lifted weights and helped each other out.

Rant over lol.

It's all about the money and perception of notoriety. Oh well that's what keeps the industry going I suppose.

Sadly yes, and with social media being stronger than ever, if you want to be noticed in this industry you either have to be the best in your field, have a great track record or basically whore yourself out on social media, usually the later being the easiest.

While I think facebook or any social media is a great tool for staying in touch with people, im sure the world would be a better place without it.

Always amusing when what a collection of complete strangers on the Internet says has more bearing on your sense of self worth than what the actual real people in your life say :)
