Hmm. I'd want to know more before getting outraged at that.

It seems like those are a few short snippets which have come from a much larger Q&A session. I think there's a good chance they've been taken out of context.

There are much bigger issues in NZ bodybuilding to outrage over than this. :)

Lol I attended this and it was a really good seminar, quite different to others I've attended and really just Moe speaking about his experiences and views on bodybuilding, business and other topics.

I remember both comments and as Peso states, although controversial, they definitely had context around them! Nothing too outrageous here lol

The amusing thing is that people assume guys running other federations are any different. Doesn't matter what sport it's all the same self invested shit. Best thing to do if you wanna compete is set your goals, whether it's numbers in powerlifting or a weight and look onstage you're aiming for and then achieve those goals. Can not control anything other than that.

The ass licking on social media is amusing as are the thinly veiled controlling comments that the peeps who run federations make. As a competitor in a sport like bodybuilding you're wasting your time even worrying about what anyone other than yourself thinks I my opinion. Cos you have to make the choices when it comes to what you take to stage or you wind up like a whole bunch of guys and especially girls who wreck themselves cos they try to fit whatever wishy washy flimsy criteria the federations are looking for... (or whatever suits the judges in relation to how their clients look)

You have to just put the version of you that you wanna put up and that's all you can do. Moe isn't any worse or better than a lot of other guys in similar roles that I've seen and known over my years in bodybuilding, in NZ and in Australia. He's just less subtle about it. Bunch of shit if you ask me. Set your own god damn goals and make them ones you can control, don't let them be dictated to you :)

Moe had Gary jones and mark Stewart train him. So he couldn't do it alone. Who Cares if phil Heath gets help with his nutrition. He is still mr Olympia... bodybuilding is about what you look like on stage who ever gave a f*ck how or who got you there. The guy calls everyone else a hater and jealous. Ugly c*nt needs to look at himself.

That's really sad, saying if his wife was over 100kg he wouldn't walk in public with her. That sounds very superficial to me. Didn't sound like it was out of context too. Cause he said, "I'll be honest with you..."

I need to see whole video to make proper assumptions.

Let's get real NZIFBB is like any other New Zealand business run by any individual. Sure Moe owns the franchise, how he managed to get it may be a little underhanded but bottom line is he took the opportunity.

Internationally the IFBB franchise has a history of dodgy ownership changes that comes when there is money to be made from a franchise, no surprises there.

When we compete we all have to make choices about which Federation is going to give us as competitors the best opportunities, well then just make sure you do your home work and are ready to face the consequences of your choice!

To do well in NZIFBB you have to be prepared to buy the right supplements, brown nose the right people, get pitiful prizes for blood and guts hard work during contest prep, post endlessly grateful comments to Moe and his NZIFBB. If you choose to compete NZIFBB then you have accepted these terms, go for it.

Nothing will improve until people are prepared to stand up and take responsibility for getting something better!

Dude, she would be out the door before she hit 90kg

Good luck with your lazy land whale goals in 2015

Yawn.... I just worry about lifting, eating & sleeping....and compete wherever suits me at the time and for my future goals. Given I've done NABBA NZ, NABBA WFF, NZIFBB (and it's predecessor NZFBB) I've seen politics and controversial opinions up close in all federations - I guess I could hate & go do INBA or just get on with what I enjoy best....doing, not talking about everything that's a problem to someone on the Internet!

Harry pretty much nailed it.

Exactly, consider your options and choose one or the other, no other alternative anyway!

When I started competing there was only one Federation NZIFBB, and I was part of that committee so I know the history only too well!

Pretty funny people complain about Moe, seems they forget what Mark was like as president and how things ran back then. Or if you were in NABBA with Jim Pitt. If you spent any time worrying about politics you'd never compete :)

No, Moe had his hand smacked for giving away too many pro cards, I don't think their will be many given away in the near future!

Bout time someone told him to pull his head in. Destroying bbing in NZ by making people who are only amatuer quality with no pro potential, into pros. Dilution. I can see that and I not even interested in bbing industry. He tryna make it like America and its not America. What good is pro card when you are small, have no money, or have convictions and won't even allow to travel. Just be amatuer and compete here. I can't even comprehend the stupidity and lack of sense it makes...

Can anybody make sense of it?????

Sam looks really great from the front, but quite average from the back. I mean it's great everyone saying you are amazing and giving you kudos it feels great, I know. But the reality is ifbb pro is meant to be the elite of bodybuilding, people who compete should know this so not sure why I'm saying it.. If someone is a club rugby player but they aren't good enough to be sucessful in super15... What happens? They stay at club level because they aren't good enough to be at elite level and until they are they stay put. This keeps club level strong and doesn't weaken the elite level.

It isn't a difficult process to understand is it? Seems really logical to me. But they support the federation and market Nar labs so the carrot can only dangle for so long before the person realises they are wasting their time. So I guess something has to give eventually. This is why we either have pros or fallouts.

I don,t get the comments about Phil Heath he is obviously very smart having guys help him with his nutrition hence the 4 olympia tittles he has.

Every top pro sportsperson at the top of there game has someone or a whole team of people assist them in some way or another

Fair enough point. Work hard, kiss ass, and reap the rewards. I've heard it all before.
