ive seen The Boss do workouts with the big dumbbells (they are huge 80s or so!) and he never drops them ever! i spotted him once and he just lowers them to his chest then on the legs and on the rack. i think people are just plain lazy or trying to do too much they cant handle. dropping the dumbbells breaks the locktight on the screws that hold the dumbell plates on and can break or fracture the bolts..so if that happens someone may be pressing them and the plates fall off or in their face. I guess it goes to safety but anyway i've had enough of this, bebo has much more interesting stuff to talk about! cao

 wow a whole thread devoted just to me..appreciate all your comments, some deserved some not..there surely has to be something more productive you could be doing with your time? Hope your enjoying your new job Delpreet and good to see you're not ashamed of your own name or living in some fictitious fantasy world. Anyway, keep training hard and for once in your lives, try walking past a mirror without looking in it.. :pfft:

We'll I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm the first to admit i was an arrogant young prick in the past who thought he knew it all and was never wrong, so if Dale wants to come on here, take onboard what has been said and admit that some was deserved (and some not-probably fair enough too)....then I take my hat off to him and say well done.

you get my respect for that Dale, best wishes to you.

Mike

Thanks for that - was going to just ignore it but I have never hidden or run from anything or anyone in my life and we all say and do stuff we maybe should have thought about a little bit more at the time... We are all young once and I forget that sometimes. And as for the comment from "Samoan Muscle" earlier, "Little Cutie" is Ashley - shes gorgeous, young and likes to wind people up and has worked for me for over 14 months at the gym. Have told her not to post anymore comments as its not her job to defend me against all you big scary people...its all good, a famous person once said "its better to be talked about than ignored"..but my own personal favourite is "walk a mile in my shows and then judge my actions"..I'll check back time to time to see what more "good and bad" stuff is said but I'm really I'm not that interesting..keep training hard! :D

I for one have never had a problem with Dale....maybe I haven't seen his bad side, but to me he is always happy to shoot the breeze; always remembers both my training partner and my name which is a nice personal touch. He even encourages my possible return to completion (once I gain a little consistency and muscle!) and throws protein bars our way on occasion which is a nice post workout surprise.

I gotta admit we really like training at Miada even though it is a 30 minute drive each way from home for me. How can you not like a gym with dumbbells which go all the way to 80kg and enough 20's to easily allow a big leg press session without upsetting other members?

Damn it, couldn't help myself again tonight, had a guy join the gym and then he slammed me nice expensive access gate...I asked him to just leave it in future as it had a self-closing mechanism..but then he began mouthing off to me about not being a mind reader...and sure enough this uncontrollable rage must have overcome me and I turned green, buttons popping off my shirts, my jeans tearing and my children and wildlife were running for cover! I proceeded to open the till and give him his money back and said see you later...he thought I was joking at first but then it dawned on him I was serious. It was all a very aggressive moment and feelings were hurt in the process I am sure! Thank god he too has this type of outlet to come on and post a comment (probabaly just one like the initial post) but it is so therapeutic and if it helps him move on with his life and deal with the trauma of the whole occassion then we should all welcome any comment he has and embrace him with warmth and compassion! :pfft:

I know, I just can't help myself! It's this power thing I've got going on...I just think I can do what I want in my own gym and I while I know its not right giving money back when I so desperately need it :pfft: :pfft: I can't help myself...I wish I had your guys sense of tolerance and understanding but I don't and maybe I should seek help. :pfft:

Geez I may have to just get out of this running a gym business altogether...I'm thinking I'd have a mile less stress, time to train again when I want, much more free time, all my weekends back again to relax and all my time can go to building my core businesses...man that sounds really damn good! Anyone want to buy a gym? \:D/
