You don't even need to activley seek Iron unless your on a period where It can help replenish.

Are you on your period fubu? Or just got stabbed?

I'm anemic, due to having low iron levels. Stop being an arty farty, Gyzznizzle.

I have prescribed iron pills. My doctor also encourages me to eat natural sources of iron as well which is why I eat  spinach as it's rich in iron and on Saturday, my cheat day, I will be having a big fat juicy steak. My protein shake has iron added into it as well. Bioglan Vanilla Protein, from Countdown Supermarket.

Well, if you read all the thread, I still eat carbs and veges. I just restrict meat intake. However, I go all out on meat when my cheat day rolls around. It's my cheat day today and I just had 2x bigmacs, 2x cheeseburgers, and a large fries for dinner. "Nom, nom, nom!" I feel a food baby coming on.

With meat getting more expensive every year, I find that eggs are an awesome and cheap alternative for protein

FUBU, it sounds to me like there are much cheaper and healthier ways you could be eating - without cutting out your meat intake. Iron-fortified supermarket protein is almost certainly way more expensive that a standard protein powder from a supps retailer like NZ Muscle.

Particularly if you're anaemic, red meat is the last thing you should be cutting. Both for the amount of iron and its bioavailability, spinach doesn't even come close.

Remember this ad? 'Nuff said, I think! :)

What a cool ad, first time I've ever watched it. I might do a red meat diet now. Where I can only eat red meat and no eggs.

I'll start a new thread and title it, 'About the meat and only the good ol' meat.'

Nah, jokes. I know if I actually do that I might feel daggers penetrating me. It would be too painful to do.

An egg has about %5 of your daily iron needs so youd surely be getting enough iron just in youre 30 eggs a day?

Didn't even know the yolks had iron, that's a bonus. Woop, woop!

Bro, you should know everything about eggs by now. I spose being in Rotorua you can't smell yourself?

That's not a cheat day!  I have 4 big macs after training.  That's what happens when there is a McDs between my gym and my office.

Far out! If you can eat 4 big macs in one go, then I congratulate you. But, If that's you in that profile photo, then I'm convinced that it's either an old photo or not even you at all. You'd be more tubbier I reckon. Especially if your eating like that. If it's one day a week, I suppose it's alright.

That pic is mid-Jan I think.  I'm using it on facebook too so it's an elaborate scam if that's the case :P

Nothing about eating McDonalds implies being overweight or high bf%.  I agree it correlates, but that's due to the shitty dietary habits of fatties.  In the context of my diet as a whole and level of activity, it is totally legit.

I do find it sickening though so I'll be dropping it back to 2 only.    #NotaFan

Well, I have to say common sense finally hit me in the head :banging: . Living on eggs is a nightmare, In fact I have been put off eggs for life. I'm just going to resume an ordinary healthy diet like a few of you mentioned. One thing I have to say though is that the diet did give me more energy and a I did feel more healthier overall. Hopefully you can graciously accept that this diet was a complete failure and leave the criticism to rest.  :-$

Let's just lay this thread to rest.
