Olympus plates

I'm going to set a home gym for powerlifting. The Olympus paltes seem to be the cheapest but have been told they are about a inch smaller than a standard plate? Anyone bought any? Or have a better place to buy plates? Thinking it could mess with my deadlift form, if they are I could just buy two big plates and then use these on the outside I guess
