Richie Patterson is up for NZ's Favourite Sporting Moment at the Halberg Awards.

 

He came back from a nail-biting two "no lifts" to take the gold medal with his third attempt in Glasgow's Commonwealth Games 2014.

I'm not an oly lifter but wasn't very smart planning was it? Infact I saw a number of them missing first and second attempts, some even missed all 3... Why? Wookie?

But it sure made for an exciting win, id written him off after he failed his 2nd and was yelling at tv but was jumping round when he got it. And I don't even know the guy. Voted.
