testogel given by GP

Was given testogel by my GP, will I need to stay on this long term? I'm 22 and have had low test levels come back which is what lead me to getting given a prescription. Hoping to get into a normal range then come off it, but is it as simple as this?

The male body needs adequate testosterone for healthy bodily function, for whatever reason you don't produce enough according to your GP, therefore he has prescribed the gel to supplement your shortfall..

Whilst you are taking the gel, your total testosterone should be around normal as long as you follow the instructions given by your GP...

Once you stop the gel, your testosterone levels will revert back to low again, you will feel like shite...

The gel only works whilst ever you are taking it...!!

It will not raise your endogenous production..!!

I got a bloodtest done 10 days after using the gel and it dropped even more than it was before i had began using the stuff. any reason why?

When the doctor started me on cypionate injections the same thing happened to me. Before the cypionate my test was 5.8, but 7 weeks after I had started the blood test said 5.3.

Yes I started on 100mg of cypionate once every 2 weeks and I am pretty sure that the blood test was done just before the injection so I think this is what they say was the trough. In 2010 I went on Reandron for 11 months and the same thing happened. It was 7 something beforehand and then my first blood test what was probably 8 weeks after the first injection said 6 something.

I thought you were on 125mg/week..??

100mg once every 2 weeks won't do shite...!!!

100mg is only 65mg of testosterone once the ester weight has been removed, with a half life of about 4-6 days, and a bioavailability of about 72%..... !!!!

If tested prior to injection thats why your levels were so low, 2 days after would have been optimum...... 2 week injections is a joke...!!

I thought Sustanon was designed for this sort of thing. Why are they using products that allow such peak-to-trough differential??

Meanwhile estro says what?

Unless pinning every day or EOD blood levels will peak and trough.. GP's don't want you cluttering up surgeries several times a week...

Sustanon is a kinda failure too, you get an initial plasma spike after the first day or so then it quickly drops off, unless you pin more regular, like EOD or E3rd day Max...

The doctor then changed it to once a week and after that because the test was still fairly low he took it up to 125mg. the last blood tests I had were......15.5, 18.3,  13.8,  and 17.5 and  these were all done at the trough aswell. I notice no difference at any time of the week and can honestly say that I feel no difference from before I started the cypionate injections and my test level was only 5.8.

Yeah I'm picturing E3D and train the patient to self-administer.  After 4-ish weeks that's pretty steady levels of everything.

Maybe they aren't too keen on people self-administering injectables.
