nice topic!

goals

maintain injury free year round!

get started in the world of powerlifting by entering a comp maybe 1/3rd or halfway through the year when i've had a bit more of PL training experience

bw : 75kg at 16% or less bodyfat

squat : 150kg (2xbw)

deadlift : 200kg.. more long term goal eventually reach 3xbw 225kg

bench : 90kg bench (might be pushing it but no use having goal if not hard)

ohp : bodyweight for atleast 1 rep so 75kg

.....and maybe touch the basketball rim and not just the backboard lol

Sober for a year? Now thats a challenge!

haha for the best m8

my sober pb is 11 months, may 2013-april 2014

i reckon can do a year if focus enough on positive shit like career and lifting etc

Unless you're an alcoholic I don't see why u can't have the odd night out

;-)

i agree for the majority of people nothing wrong with it

when it turns into 3 day benders and calling in sick for work etc then its just not worth the negatives (eg in my case)

Hey guys, was reading a book last night before bed and stumbled upon an interesting and relevant quote to this thread..

To choose a goal without being prepared to be accountable for progress towards it is to choose nothing.

Reminded me of my so called 'goals' of past few years like reach 'x' weight or certain strength standards but no real accountability besides log (light accountability). Decided to enter in a PL comp closer towards the end of the year, but not the same one that leeroid is entering lmao... now I just have to make sure i decide on one and actually enter it rather than just pans pans pans

This

Committing to entering a comp is good value i reckon, need a good as excuse to pull out so if you dont achieve goals in mean time you will lift shit (relatively) compared to what you could have achieved had you put in full effort
