Dc vs Jones

Anyone see Dc dethroning jones? Personally i would love to see it,but i just think Jones is to good everywhere only people i see beating him is maybe cain or jr in a heavyweight match or TRT Belfort haha.

Gus got close. I think DC has the wrestling to 'Cain' him for 5 rounds, but he's going to have to do it up against the cage. I think Jones is strong enough to make sure that doesn't happen.

DC's problem is a lack of reach, he's going to have to get inside and that will be hard against a guy who throws elbows like a jab.

 

My head says a Jones TKO in 2-3 rounds. My heart says a DC decision. As great as DC is, I don't think he's going to win it.

 

What makes Jones different to to a guy like Hendricks, is look how Jones stepped up against Gus at the end of the fight. Hendricks took the foot off the gas against Lawler, Jones realised he could lose and found the extra gear.

that was only a few weeks into the treatment and the fight was on very short notice, if the same Vitor that fought Hendo fought Jones i think it would be a different story

i agree with you there Wookie but jones showed how good he was in tight against glover so though.

 

yea Vitor took that fight on short notice and definitely wasn't at his best but surprisingly jones couldnt do much to him on the ground until he fatigued.

Talked to a longtime MMA fan and he's picking DC. Says Jones doesn't use distance well with strikes so reach advantage matters less. I hope he's right.

yea he looked good in the first few rounds but jones is just to good.

 

The division is alot stronger now than it was when anderson was champ in my opinion. I See Yoel, Souza, Belfort, Machida and Rockhold all giving him serious trouble

I'd like to see him fight Chael one more time after his ban ends and give Belfort a rematch. Or give Bisping a go he's been trying to fight him for years but never quite made it.
