The Islamic world was technologically way ahead of medieval Europe at the start of the crusades back in the 11th century.. Its only since the fall of the Ottoman Empire at the end of the first world war, when tribal boundaries were ignored and warring factions forced to live together, have issues of violence become apparent.... Western Society did start it by purposely dividing up arabs on non tribal boundaries when they knew this would cause tensions, as well as displacing Palestinians from their homeland and giving it to the jews..
