You could do it in classes

Under 70kg - Bench 80kg

70-80 - Bench 90kg

80-90 - Bench 100kg

90-100 - Bench 110kg

100-110 - Bench 115kg

110-120kg - Bench 120kg

120-140kg - Bench Bodyweight

140+ - Bench 145kg

Why?  Because generally lighter guys can bench their bodyweight for more reps so this evens it out a bit?

I reckon we all going to have a different idea. Best bet is Pseudo just choose something and go with it.  I myself would like to see one with weights as bodyweight stuff is shit .  May as well do longest handstand or most jump rolly pollys

in on most jump rolly pollys superset with neck breaks

nice newsletter. i think its good to rotate between comps that would appeal to different groups. the pushups had mass appeal but not asmuch interest from the super strong, maybe next one kick off the weighted comps with bodyweight bench or squat.. haha last year couldn't even compete because could barely bench own bodyweight finally can give it a shot!

That's the kind of thing I'm thinking of - but I just think with loads of classes, we'll be spreading everyone too thinly. Chances are, we'd end up with only 1 or 2 in each class.

What if we reverse-engineered the Wilks table, so that everyone was lifting at the same number of Wilks points?

eg...

70kg bench @ 60kg BW = 60 Wilks points

80kg bench @ 70kg BW = 60 Wilks points

87.5kg bench @ 80kg BW = 60 Wilks points

95kg bench @ 90kg BW = 60 Wilks points

100kg bench @ 100kg BW = 60 Wilks points

Obviously we can set a higher Wilks score if people think they'll get too many reps on 60 Wilks points. I just liked that it gave me nice round numbers...

Sorry I didn't mean different classes. Everyone is lumped in together. That was just the weight they had to bench

Oh yep. In that case, we're on exactly the same page. In fact, looking at the numbers again, you were pretty close to the Wilks-calculated ones anyway.

OK, I'll get started on finding a sponsor. How long should we run this for? I'm thinking a month, with a 24-hour auto-extend.

Pullups be a hard one to beat though

Pullups it is, then! :D Right after this one.

I just think it will even it out with a bit of a weight handicap

I think you should sit these out too, give others a chance, I do now
