Completely agree, but isn't that (sadly) just a reflection of society? You can't blame the dweeb for being popular - the problem is with the followers.

It's hard to get abs, let alone maintain them all year round. People like JR, Freezma, Swift, all seem to have abs that never fade away. It's not like they were just handed the abs, they train them hard and keep their diets on check. Majority of people who are trying to get abs want to look for motivation from the likes of them, because their bodies look achievable to reach. Jacked up bodybuilders are too far out of reach, so the average person doesn't even bother going there.

Yeah, yeah, I'm an aesthetic whore, I know.

yeah because they diet all year round. When you have little muscle and are small any muscle gains you make can be done with minimal fat gain. Kinda like the weight you gain would be 80:20 so 80% muscle gain 20% fat gain... If you are 135kg shw and u want to more than likely it'll be the opposite something like 10:90 so 10% of the weight gain would be muscle, 90% being fat of the weight gained. Of course these are just example numbers and why novices make such quick gains (noob gains). It's a lot easier to maintain a lower body fat at a lighter weight when you aren't trying to add muscle to your frame. Since we are using them as examples look at at a year ago and they don't look much different, for people who dedicate or want people to think they dedicate their life to improving physique its a pretty average improvement tbh.

That same ratio rule that I used above can be applied to powerlifting totals as well.

Well it's essentially just the law of diminishing returns. Totals rise fast with little work in a lifters novice days, and then move progressively slower and slower even as one works harder and harder.

Repeatng the previous post that after a certain point one cannot gain more muscle without simultaneously adding more fat (lean-to-fat gain ratio). Of course it is possible to keep abs/stay lean and gain weight but it isn't optimal. The same muscle gain will happen over a much longer period of time.

Also the photos being put up aren't all at real time they are taken at during a short period and posted Over a long period. Just some shit to consider, some people don't think. They see and wow, instead should see, think then wow.

They have abs all year round because all of those guy have naturally lean genetics. I have abs 24 hours a day all year round and I eat mcdonalds. Easter eggs and all sorts of shit that would horrify the average person . That's what pisses me off about the fitness industry. These bullshit storys about how they've got this body and this and that . When in reality all they do is eat reasonably well . Stay on the gear ( yet say they aren't ) and use that to inspire others. Sick of seeing these bikini athletes on instagram getting sponsored by fricken supp companies just because they have followers while other girls or guys are out there with killer physiques or awesome powerlifting totals getting unnoticed. I still like all the booty pages though lol.

You're dead right there.  It's literally softcore porn, but not in their little princess minds.

If most of the kiwi chicks looked at the overseas competition they would wear burkas in shame...

Gee, you haters, the jelly farms over there ---->  :protest: <----These are jelly people. You 399'5.

I really couldn't be less jealous of them brah

In 6 years each of them will be forgotten and replaced by an almost identical, but younger, person.  They are used to market product and inspire the next generation of "sponsored athlete" to continue the cycle.

Utterly irrelevant.
