Purchasing weightlifting shoes

Once I wear my out chucks i will be looking into getting some proper shoes

like adipower etc. Might be a dumb question,  but is there such a thing as hi top weightlifting shoes?, Is there such a thing?, Is low cut better than hi cut?

The only hi-top lifting shoes I've ever seen or heard of are from Metal.  They're not good looking, they are only available in flat (no heel) and they only come in black.  But, if you want flats, they're great.  Great sole, quality leather, will last a long time. See http://gometal.com/product/powerlifting-shoes/

I found that by lacking them up, it gave me cues to keep my shins more upright, sit further back, hit depth easier.
