Clothing Start-Ups Design Jeans for Muscular Athletes

Oh God, yes!

I've gone through several pairs of jeans that have worn out prematurely with a particularly inconveniently-placed hole right in the crotch (something about the way the fabric folds and stretches around my quads when I sit, I think... or perhaps I'm just really well-endowed...)

After recently farewelling my last pair to suffer this fate, I went the entire length of Queen St, visiting literally every clothing retailer I could find, looking for any jeans that fitted. Anything that fitted my quads had a waist that was twice my size.

I lost count of the number of shop assistants who said, "Have you thought about not training legs?" In the end I settled for a pair from Just Jeans that wasn't great at all, but it was all I could find.

The stupid thing is, my legs actually aren't that big. I can only imagine how the bigger guys get on.

Chinos bro.

i never wear jeans anymore they are such a shit fit... If they fit my quads and waist then they don't fit my calves cause they are some gay cowboy go slin at calves flare out at ankles design.

i get my going out pants from the federation shop on Barry's point road in Takapuna it's lils some faggaty botique store with a barber shop inside a fashionable clothing shop... Always full of absolute wankers in there but I like the panta and they fit great. Material abit stretchy too so they comfortable and fit me very well. But loose round waist but nothing a belt won't fix and not so much that it bunches around the waist.

Chicken legs to bawse dawg legs crew checking in..

dam Tom! yeah like you pseudo I also don't yet have bawse dawg legs but still have to buy 1 or 2 sizes up in loose cut jeans to get the legs in, then look completely retarded on the waiste with a belt because it folds up too much. just have to make do with pleated/suit pants for now, bit of a bummer for casual fridays lol. good business startup idea, must be a massive market for it now

its the muscle fuel bro. Chicken thigh, pumpkin potatoe mash and green beans. That's my favourite one... Use my athlete code on muscle fuel website to recieve 20% discount, code - tomsammce20.

anyway back to pants... Love these yoga pants on the ladies. Female Crossfitters got better legs and arses than the bodybuilder/figure/bikini chicks. But the crossfit dudes have shit legs... I just don't understand that one tbh. But that's none of my bussiness.

anyonw where chinos?

Lol most people complaining they can't fit jeans are full of shit, a mate of mine with legit 30inch quads gets into normal jeans just fine. The whole thing is started by the yanks who wear baggy as jeans so if they have big legs that make them a bit tighter they freak out. Having said that, it is best to go for something with a bit of elastane or whatever it is in them like wranglers. So they stretch, down side is they wear out quicker.

I like chinos but not the bogan drop crotch, cuffed ankle ones you see guys wearing. It's best to get something that fits in the waist/seat and thighs and have them tailored to be slimmer around the calves and taken up if needed. I wouldn't by any naughty as f*ck jeans made specifically for big people but then again some people get off on the fact that they have to buy special jeans so they let everyone know they can't fit normal ones lol!

+1 on crossfit girls, too bad the majority are mental cases.

lmao true reminds me of this guy at work always going on about this topic. in a lot of our cases, i think you're right not specifically that we don't have big legs (i definately don't) but leg size to waist size ratio is just off so hard to get a clean fitted (non bogan) look

I dunno... it'd be nice to walk up the stairs without feeling like you're giving yourself half a wedgie! But I'll willingly admit it's just as much due to my waist size as my quads.

Incidentally, I checked out the Barbell clothing website yesterday, and they've been stalking me with targeted Facebook advertising ever since! Anyone else found this?

Really? Even more than bodybuilders?!

  • 2 weeks later...

This is what they invented tailors for. Buy a larger size and then get them fitted. Pretty sure it would cost around 50$ to do so. Cheaper than spending $200 on special jeans for people who lift.

they do it for that cheap? last time i went to tailor just to hem my trousers they were asking $30 each one i looked up youtube video and done it myself lol
