Blenheim Gyms and long limbs

Alright so I move down south soon and wanting to change my training structure.

first off can anyone recommend me on good gyms in Blenheim or do any of yall like in Blenheim??

Currently sitting at 10% bf, 84kgs at 185cm tall, I've been training hypertrophy this past year with little to no cardio and have gained some good size but now Im realising I see big changes in my chest, back yet my arms have seen little growth before that the past 1.5 years I was strength training, with long limbs they just look shit and my legs don't grow either.Trying to chuck in more cardio as I'm realising how unfit I am and thinking about takings up a full body routine using a lot of compound lifts and hypertrophy.

do you think it's a good idea for what I'm trying to achieve? Or have you got long limbs and seen good growth in the arms and legs? Any helps appreciated

Plenty of short guys that are skinny as f*ck also plenty of guys with long limbs that are massive. In fact they have more potential for growth without looking retarded because short stocky people just look round.

Saying you can't fill out cos of your long limbs is a cop out. You're 84kg at 6ft 2, you should be at least 100kg if u don't wanna look skinny. Just need to put on weight man and be patient if you wanna do it naturally. You see unrealistic progress made by either genetic freaks or guys that started juicing and natty normal guys think they doing something wrong cos they're not gaining 10kg per year like the joocy guys when in fact they're making good progress for a natty. That's one reason I couldn't train natty cos I'm too impatient.

I'm just under 6 ft 1 not 6 2. at peak I was about 98kg at 16% body fat after last cycle. Now down to 9-10% I'm fluctuating between 84-86 not so much that I can't fill out because I'm broad as hell and my legs are lacking at least 5kg to my top half. Bicep pose my arms are decent but flat my arms are long they look chit to me. Only body part that's not really gaining is arms/legs and that's why I say I think it's due to long limbs. I've seen guys with 16inch arms at 5ft 9-6ft and it looks decent but there arms are shorter. wear large/xl t shirts because my shoulders and back,chest fit in nice and fitted then my sleeves don't properly fill out 

 

any info from people with long limbs?

Oh. I didn't think 16-inch arms was so bad. :'(

I'm 6'0, and I guess you'd say reasonably long arms and legs. I actually hardly ever train biceps directly, because I find if I do, they outgrow the rest of me. Then they just make my shoulders look small. So I throw in a token bicep set on back day, and that's it.

Bottom line is, it's all down to genetics. Some people have some parts that grow better than others.

I'm 6'5" and have long limbs (i.e. wingspan >100% of height, femur >26% of height). Not that I aim for hypertrophy as my primary focus in the gym, but I have had good results doing anything that disadvantages long levers, done for 4-6 sets of 12-15 reps. For upper body, this would be things such as chins, lat raises, fly variations, curls, triceps extensions and kickbacks. You've probably already noticed that these movements are typically more difficult for you than they are for short limbed lifters - use that to your advantage, because you're likely getting more out of it than they are.

I definitely agree with putting a bit more weight on your frame. As mentioned before, I don't usually train for size (since I need to run around a basketball court), but to move away from a "skinny look", I moved up from 91kg to 111kg. The same mass on you would put you at a little under 100kg. Obviously you're looking for a bit more size, so Leeroid's recommendation of >100kg would suit you more.

Hey bro - Im in blenheim, how long you been here for and what gym do you currently train at/have trained at?

Im pretty small but like the gym i go to its up the back of the stadium.  Cost is $150 a year, got all the weights and equipment you need just doesnt carry any cardio equipment.

And it very much depends what your lifting for, Snap & Pursuits are good if you wana showboat, my gyms good(doesnt really have a name, nicknamed the gorilla pit) if you want to get there and put in the work with likeminded people.  Cityfitness ive never really gone too but have  trained a couple times there and didnt like it.

You got a training partner?  Age?

im 6 foot and have long arms but you just a faggot if you think you cant grow them or blame genetics etc. just not training properly like most ppl on this forum who think just coz they lifted for a while they know their shit when they made like 0 progress whole time. mine over 19" pumped now and lean as and looks good. your arms look shit because 16" is small.

 

and lol pesodo..why dont you just train your shoulders properly. i rather have same size shoulders and bigger arm than have shit arms and look like i dont even lift or like i said just train your shoulders properly. its not a particularly difficult muscle group to bring up, you just lazy and dunno how to train or eat properly. i cbf writing you out specific advice because waste of my time and im at work and got better shit to do but its all available online and just common sense and one bit of advice i will give you is ditch this intermittent fasting crap. never heard of anything as retarded in my life

23 and arrive on the 1st, cheers for the advice man I tend to go for bigger gyms, easy to change workout routines around with more equipment and more motivation the bigger the gym.

Yeah, despite what 90210 says, genetics do play a huge role in this. Obviously you have to work hard and not be lazy, but just ask any bodybuilder with tiny calves - they'll almost certainly tell you that no matter what they do, that particular muscle doesn't grow for them at the same rate as everything else does. It's not for want of trying. Or Leeroid... although he doesn't fit your long limbs theory, he finds his legs grow much better than his arms - and his work ethic in the gym is phenomenal.

For me, I had to train shoulders twice a week in order to get my upper body growing proportionately. Maybe a similar technique would help you... ie, arms twice a week - maybe biceps with back, triceps with chest, and a separate day dedicated to both.

Hah! I see platitudes like that on Facebook, and my inner cynic starts grinding his teeth. At the risk of sounding really ancient, it seems to be a younger person's statement. Maybe they just haven't grown old and cynical yet. Sadly, the world's not full of love and rainbows, and unfortunately, we're NOT all going to make it.

But one thing's for sure... If you don't keep going, you certainly won't. :)

Thought this site was for advice yet seems to be a bunch of finger bashing fucks with nothing better to do than critisise, not everyone here's s power lifter/bodybuilder. People train for all different reasons wish some people could look at them selfs and realise how stupid they are.
