Low carb doesn't mean you can be an asshole and do what you like. You chose to go through the struggle of dieting and participate in competitive bodybuilding. Nobody else should have to suffer because of your decision to starve yourself. If you can't handle the hunger then you shouldn't be doing it. Do something else like origami. You can eat all the carbs you want

Gymrat is trying hard to meet the extreme requirements of National level competition. 

The first time anyone pushes themselves to these limits it can be difficult for them to even realise they are either over reacting or excessively moody. It's part of the learning curve.

It is only afterwards when they look back will they think "oh shit did I say/do that".

Experienced people may become better at modifying their actions but it is never easy.

You must be taking the piss?? He doesnt even do close to full ROM on any excercises. Id guess that his cardio and diet is of similar quality.

What are the extreme requirements of national competition? Seems like you can just turn up to a bb show and come last in your class and then youre good to go?

Not being mean or anything, good on him for having a go but both of you talk complete shit most of the time.

How do you know he does not diet to a strict diet or do quality cardio?

have you competited at National level? If so then you will know that when the time comes you do anything necessary to earn results that you deserve, this always means pushing your body beyond what even you thought you could do!

in Gymrats case he has some limitations but everything is relative and clearly he is asking more of himself now than he has before so he is extending his limits of perseverance.

Since you feel we talk shit then I cannot imagine why you would bother to read the thread it must be such a waste of your time.

From what rebel said this a whole new ball game for me now my pushing myself past my physical and mental limits while  I am preping for nationals. Even these days when I am low carb biking any hilly street in Dunedin can very hard work while I am low carb that would also include when I don't have much engery and I don't quit plus quiting is for losers.
