how necessary is spray tan the day before a comp

im about to get dreamtan to apply on the day, how necessary is it to spray tan too before my first novice comp

i prefer if i could avoid having to buy two tans 

 

and what should i use gold brown or red bronze

The deeper the tan the better u will look on stage. Without a base tan applied the day before the coat applied on the day will have less depth.

Its up to u but without the proper preparation all the work u have put into getting there will be let down by poor stage presentation and u may place below people who have a physique not as good as u but have done correct stage preparation.

The answer is it makes a lot of difference!

i think it costs around 40 to buy a can of spray tan maybe it would last more than one use, on the plus side of getting it done at victoria st is an expert does it for you but probably too much for a novice bber to spend

The thing with Dreamtan is it's like shoe polish - it doesn't really soak into the skin, just sits on top. So if you scratch it or wipe it off accidentally, and you're pale underneath, it really shows up.

So a base coat is highly recommended.

But because it's only a base coat, you probably don't need to fork out for a pro to do it. You're only going to cover it up anyway.

I would also suggest buying a  spary tan product for your face as well not to sure of a good brand to buy. Might be best to ask at chemist or ask around to see what is a good brand to use for your face.

Plenty of muppet beauticians out there botching spray tans for people. A spray tan before a bodybuilding comp is no different to buying the liquid tan and painting it on urself at home with sponge brush. It's just a base coat, any blotches or marks will be covered over on the day.
