The Effects of Intermittent Fasting on Human and Animal Health

Last night, while investigating some of Daz's theories on leptin, I stumbled across this:

http://www.lift-heavy.com/intermittent-fasting/

It's a guy who did his thesis reviewing all the various studies on Intermittent Fasting. And it's a pretty easy read. I've only skimmed it so far, but it's interesting enough that I've bookmarked it to read properly over the next few days.

So I thought I would share it with the class... Enjoy!

Nah more of an interest piece than anything atm. I dabbled in it for a couple of weeks just to see how it felt and if hunger pains were gonna be an issue but it was fine. Havent taken the full plunge yet though ha. Can imagine some won't find it comfortable to eat in that manner though. The idea of an anorexic effect being caused by an "evolutionary purpose of seeking for nutrients in the absence of food" is definitely intriguing. Our bodies making better use of what we eat when deprived of it. Too manys brahs would be scared of going catabolic xD

To be honest, I actually attribute a lot of my recent gains to it. I had hit a bit of a plateau, but seem to have pushed through it with IF. It really does seem to make better use of my protein intake.

Maybe I should start a journal logging it.
