Mass /weight gainers

hbtui

Recommended Posts

So I need to up my calories as I want to put on some more weight/mass. So I'm thinking about buying a weight gainer supplement.

I know a lot of people don't like them and say that they are a waste of time.

But due to my new job and being on the road I'm thinking having a mass gainer shake will be

perfect to have with me to get those calories in.

so any suggestions on what one to buy?

Horley's Awesome Mass was pretty good when I tried it. It was tolerable even towards the end of the bucket which is quite rare for a mass gainer. Usually once I hit the halfway mark, no matter how nice it was at the beginning, it'll be vomit-inducing.

Other mass gainers that I used is pro fight pro lean mass can't recall the flavour that I used manged to get through the tub but. It was a bit of a mission trying to get the lid off just about needed a crow bar trying to get it off other that I only use mass gainers from time to time only when I feel like it

I've only ever had one mass gainer and it was Mutant Mass and it was AMAZING. I did the whole bag in one week

Just wouldn't recommend the strawberry flavour, that shit is vile. Choc is where it's at

ON serious mass isn't to bad. It even comes with a bucket so you can transfer the powder to your shaker in two easy loads.

Mutant mass is pretty good imo. Not the healthiest, but it's got some good shit in there like mct's and fish oil, and multiple sources of carbs. Pretty whole - food, not just whey + sugar.

Flavour was ok, had cookies and cream, tasted a bit wierd but not gross by any means. Maybe try chocolate and see how that goes. Pretty cheap imo too. 22, 000 cals for 75$, probably cheaper than real food and much easier to get down. Try mutant mass.

Do you even calculator?

That's the lowest calories per dollar a person on a modest budget should consider (300cal/$).  For the same spend you could get a bunch of foods providing more calories, more protein, and a greater quantity and range of micros.

You consider a powder containing MCTs and fishoil to be a whole food?  Not sure if srs

For the lazy man on a budget, a protein shake with added oat bran and olive oil is hard to beat (around 960 calories).  Adding peanut butter is the easiest way to up the nutrient value and dollar value.

Lol this was a thread about mass gainers and yeah, I guess real food is cheaper when your on a budget. But as far as mass gainers are concerned, this is one of the cheaper ones that iv'e found.

I like how when terrymundo recomends mutant mass it's all good, but when gyzzbrah does the same, suddenly everyone has a problem with it.

Who has the time to add oat bran and olive oil to their protein shake? It's hard enough putting a scoop of protein into that shaker. He wanted to know about a ready made mass gainer powder so that he doesn't have to worry about all that shit.

Not everybody is so anal as you about maximising protein per dollar. Stop being so poverty

Holly shit!  2600 cal and 184g Protein per serve !!! Bear styles for sure

I say thee nay!

After reading this madness I came up with the povo equivalent:

1 litre calci trim

150g oat bran

200g WPC

120ml EVOO

2,830 calories, 129g carbs, 136g fats, 237g protein

Costs f all, and no one who spends money on mass gainers would fail to bulk by including this in their daily consumption.

But I understand that some enjoy setting fire to cash and shitting powder *crazy*
