No carryover from wraps

Hey team.  Wondering why i cant seem to get any carryover from knee wraps . Is there a secret to using them? Ive watched clips on how to wrap and have good quality wraps but i dont seem to even get 10kg carryover. Anyone else have this problem.  I have Inzer grippers and Titan THPs. I wrap them tight to the point its hard to walk and painful.  Anyone else have this problem?

Well, if you're wrapping tight enough that it hurts, then you should be getting something out of them.

When you start wrapping your knees, do you make sure that you have your legs locked out straight and keep them that way until you finish wrapping the knee? Because if you have them bent while wrapping then you're going to miss out on a lot of carryover compared to if you had them locked.

Maybe you just need more time to get used to it. I think Jimmybro1 never used to get anything from wraps when he first started using them but now he gets a fair bit?

The thing with knee wraps is that they will assist greatly if your quad strength is your weak point since they aid mainly in knee extension. But if your quad strength is on par with your glutes/hamstrings/lower back (posterior chain) and everything is in balance then you won't get anything out of it because now your posterior chain is the weakness holding you back. In other words, your quads now have enough strength to squat the weight but your posterior chain doesn't. I think this is largely responsible for the variation in carryover from wraps.

Yeah I never use to get anything from wraps sometimes even made my squats worse. But I was wrapping light cause I couldn't hit depth with them tight.

Not sure what carryover I get from them at the moment maybe 10-20kg. Just got to get use to them, I still don't wrap tight though that shit hurts way to much!

Yeah i have legs straight and quad flexed with toes upward also. It just felt painful behind the knee and i also couldnt hit the depth . Maybee  im just being a little bitch and need to get used to them . Might need to start using them in training . My quad strength is definately weaker than my Glutes without a doubt .

Just put on the grippers but didnt wrap them dog tight  but still fairly tight and was able to hit a deep squat and could feel the spring in them so i know they work . Maybee i need to get used to them not at a strangle my leg type level first.

put up a video of you squatting in your wraps, or a photo of how your wrapping them. Youll get better, meaningful feedback that way

Agree with the above, you may be using to much coverage in your wrapping, here is a video from SP
