So will your GF be needing a new training partner, just leave her mobile number here & I'm sure the lads will sort her out 3-4 days a week...*mosking*

If you get a free week pass for CF let me know & I'll come for a train, alternately if you feel like making the trek to LM's holla.

i doubt she will want a new training partner as she will just come with me (and someone else if theyre keen) on days when she feels like lifting. on other days id go with just the other person.

do you mean me get you a week pass for cityfitness?

Would if I wasn't locked into les mills, when I arrived to auckland I walked into city fitness queen st and walked straight back out. What's the new market one like? Hoping to move into the suburbs sometime soon

What prices do they charge for a 12 month contract? The city one there 1 cable machine that's from the 80s duct tape together., buildings small with narrow benches and 1 set of free weights narrow grips and a few have been bent

I though cf new market was ok. Wouldn't say it's great.

All the machines that work on a cable resistence aren't very good (which I think is just about all of them), I found the weight is so unevenly distributed from right and left sides.

The Olympic bars are edged not round, think it's a hexagon but could be octagonal I can't remember. Think the dumbells are also like that? Anyway they're fucken horrible things to grip or have on your back when you got abit of weight on the bar.

Bench presses at peak times are in high demand and low supply, think only 2 barbell bench set ups in the gym.

its really long gym, I didn't really like walking up and down the gym to get between stations depending on what I was doing.

all this is going back a while maybe a couple years ago so it may have changed. The car park is good though and I still always use it when I go to new market to do whatever.

i know they're all negative points above.

The positives, I like the basketball half court it's fun. Like shooting hoops and as above the car parking never a problem.

id give it a 6/10 based on the times I trainer there which was frequent just a couple years ago.

yeah certainly not great. adequate though.

think theres 3-4 good bars 2 hex ones and one fat round one. db's arent hex and go to 54kg which is ok. think a lot (not all) of of the cable machines are new. Apart from that id agree with the rest

Not too busy from 7 onwards which is when i usually train. I much prefferred unipol (dunedin) though
