Top Level Online Coaching / Mentoring

Recommended Posts

Anyone got any idea what the top trainers are charging for online coaching?

We've got some reasonable prep guys n girls in Auckland (mainly PT's or nutritionists) but for another take and possibly some specialist information on intermediate/advanced level bodybuilding from those that specialise in it 24/7 (utterly impossible in NZ) who's out there and what does it cost?

Im thinking peeps like Dennis James, Hany Rambod, Dorian Yates, Charles Glass, Chris Aceto, George Farrah etc. Anyone had any experiences working with these guys or others at that level? Any comments on the value you'd get versus a reasonable PT & Nutritionist in NZ?

Googled Charles Glass and got this ($USD):

On-Site Training  This is an opportunity to have a program developed and applied on site for individuals or for dual clients. Fee: $200 per session.

Diet & Nutrition Support Initial consultation for dietary evaluation consisting of reviewing your current program and the development of a new plan, helpful hints, support, and explanations of content. Supplementation review and suggestions. Fee: $1,200 for 12 weeks

We offer personalized online training/ nutritional packages: Rates are $900 for a detailed 3 month training/ nutritional program

Training programs only: Rates are $350 for a full body training program

Nutritional programs only: Rates are $600 for a personalized detailed meal plan with two diet changes to follow

Skyping Rates are $150 for a 30 min session

Online at $900 $USD for 3 months seems reasonable to access Charles Glass, depending on level of service.

I would imagine these top guys are very selective on their client base. I know a high level  NZ BBer (probably shouldnt say who) who has approached Dennis James but was turned down as he felt he didnt have the genetic ability to go far. I would say most would only take someone if they had their pro card or are just about to. I know Dennis keeps his client base low to give them full attention so you can only imagine what he is going to charge, tens of thousands would be my guess.

I would look at intermidiate level coaching, I know Jamil Rahaman (spelling??) has been liasing with coaching in Aus who does the "full package" and has a few IFBB pros under his name. I see if I can some contact details for him.

Just remember the Ortons keep most of the coaching from NZ.

Maybe not for me KPat?

He's a strength & conditioning coach that says his interest is natty bodybuilding. Probably be a fantastic resource for a sportsperson / team or an INBA bodybuilder but I'd think I'd be looking elsewhere if the Mr Universe or Pro Stage was my goal :-D

I see he does some powerlifting too, so might be a good resource for novice/intermediate lifters. I'd say he'd need to get his totals up significantly before some of the boys at international level paid for advice!

Damn - team Menace is pretty sharp alright Terry!

Actually John Davies in Australia might be a good option! He's ex IFBB Pro & owner of World Gym in Ashmore and seemed like a decent guy when I met him. He's freaking huge too!

Kent Gibson definately did a good job with the Orton's though I heard Steve went to Luke McNally in Aussie after his last comp?

Yeah give John a go. I have never met or seen him in person but an ex IFBB will always be able to draw on experience to put your physique into new dimensions, given he's 100% straight up.

I know kent is still involved with both Ortons on diet and training. I have met with once or twice, he told me I was too fat lol (but not by much) to start work with. He cranks out some amazing physiques and remains very humble and honest. I think steve has been in with Luke for a while now but to what capacity im not sure.

charles glass seems to be selling it cheap lol. I would defiantly want the skype to make sure that im actually talking to a black man with dreads and some drone flicking cookie cutter diets and programmes.

Yep, I had a meeting with him when I first started this site (back when it was NZBB). Can't remember what it was about now, but I think he was with Musashi at the time, so maybe it was something to do with that. Anyway, he seemed like a really good guy.

Do you know Alma Clayton? I think he might have gone over to train with John at one stage.
