Hi Ladies,

I  lost 13kgs last year and have been maintaining it since with weight lifting  and 'clean eating'.

I am hooked on lifting weights and now keen to train for a body sculpting comp... I have alway been overweight so this is a new goal I am very keen to pursue...

I don't know much about body scultping and keen to partner up with someone with similar interested - training and nutirition...

I am 58kg, 165cm.

I am based on the shore but train in new market (close to work) in the mornings - can adjust though. I also train with a personal trainer twice a week.

Very keen to meet likeminded chicks!

Cheers

Antonia

Welcome to the fraternity of female gym enthusiasts you have made a great choice.

You have done really well with your training to have lost so much weight and got to this point and a body sculpting competition is a great goal it is a lot of fun and a great challenge.

I train. Out of Club Physical in Albany so would not be a great training partner for you but if you ever want to get together to discuss issues more than welcome to contact me.

Hi Ladies, thanks for the reply!

Rebel101 I live near Albany so would definetly love to catch up for coffee chat about comp as I am so new to this business and any adivce would be most appreciated :)) how do I contact you? :)

Is there a 'community' for female bodybuilders? I am keen to compete at the end of year in a bikini division and would really love to meet people who share the same interests and journey.

Cheers

Hi Antonia Azide is right if you do a few more posts then you will be able to PM me and we can arrange a coffee l would like that.

There is no other forum like Gymnation that offers users the ability to communicate and get help like you can get here. Unfortunately there are not enough girls using it but l think that it will change if just a few get involved on a regular basis.

So please persist and keep posting.

Hello, I am also completely new to this. I have lost 15kgs and counting and am very keen to enter in a bikini or shape division in the next few months. I live in Auckland central and train at Club Physical K road. I really have no idea what is expected to compete so any help would be much appreciated and I would also be very keen to meet up with some other women.

Hi Anna you have achieved great results, and chosen an excellent goal, competing brings a level of commitment into the mix that is hard to match.

Theres a few of us girls on here at Gymnation that stick together and support each other, if I can be of any help once you have done 3 posts you will be able to PM me and we can get together if you like.

I would strongly advise you go watch a competition (if you haven't already).  The day show give you a good idea on what will be expected of you and what it's all about.  The night show is really just a party (IMO).

Hey hey everyone, I am a crazy active girl from Germany who has decided just recently to take part in one of the body sculpturing competitions. Most likely I will compete in the bikini fitness. But I am so new to the competition site that I thought it might be good to find some liek minded girls which maybe have some tips and tricks how to get started and would like to meet up for a coffee and exchanges their experiences?!?

And most important I can not find any competition dates for 2015, if any one knows when those ones are could you please let me know ?? Thanks a lot and happy training everyone

Hi JK. As Rebel says, the federations haven't finalised next year's dates yet, but often each competition is held at roughly the same time each year. You can't guarantee it, but you could look at this year's calendar, and chances are the same competition will be held again at much the same time next year.
