I agree, why not something a little more simple? Nothing wrong with the Haka but the whole picking up a dart while maintaining eye contact seemed a little overboard, and maybe some grass skirts instead of black thongs would have been better (not that I know anything about Maori traditional clothing).

Often I'd agree with you. But in this case, when the royal family come to visit, I think a full welcome is appropriate. If that's not an occasion to roll out all the protocols and formalities, I don't know what is.

I don't know... As I say, I get that this piece was meant to be funny - but man, there was just something it that made my blood boil!
