Are those people all from manawatu and is there a powerlifting grouo in the palmerston area? Good video

Mostly from Manawatu, there was a couple of lifters from Wellington and a contingent from Hawke's Bay.  

Central Districts Powerlifting Association ran the comp, they've some awesome international-level competitors in Palmy.  Not sure if HJP's still active on here, he'd be able to comment. 

Oh, and the Central Districts Regional Championships are being hosted in Palmerston on 5th April this year - see http://cdpowerlifting.org.nz/ for details.

The Manawatu comp was the second of four comps CDPA is running in the build-up to regionals, first was in Kapiti on 15 Feb, Palmerston two weekends ago, Nelson last weekend and Waiararapa tomorrow.

I am 16 years old and I have been training at the gym for 3 months and these are my lifts for 1 rep:

Bench 82.5kg

Squat 120kg

Deadlift 100kg

I am currently weighing in at 70.3 kg and looking to compete in local competition, any information on the next comp?

Have a look at the calendar on the CDPA page -- not sure off-hand when the next novice competition is....

You should definitely come along to the CDPA regional champs in Palmerston North on Sat 5th and Sunday 6th April (at Ucol, corner of King and Princess sts, free entry) - it would be a great chance to see how a competition goes, and watch some awesome, world-class men and women lifters.
