is there a way to reverse the order of posts?

I would love to see the newest posts first, rather than sorted chronologically. any advices?

yeah go in any topic area you want then sort by last post coulpe times until it goes to ascending order (arrow pointing upwards)... have fun sorting through because some posts are years old. also please note not to bump too many of those randomly lol

Thanks ron, actually meant thread (as leeroid mentioned). I recall you used to be able to do it on NZBB.

Oops, my bad. Can't find a way to do that either. They've changed the forum software since then and a lot of what used to be standard is now stuff that has to be custom implemented... I think Pseudo is thinking about a potential upgrade in future though flick him a PM see if it's a feature he can just turn on or off here.

Yeah, unfortunately that's not something we can do at the moment.

As FOTR says, this current software is limited in many ways. We chose it for the right reasons (ie, a flexible platform to build cool new features on), but it meant the forum functionality itself was pretty basic. The developers and I both underestimated the amount of work required to bring this software up to a level that has all the bells and whistles people expect of a forum now - a rather expensive mistake for both of us.

I'm now looking at a new software package, which will give us much better forum functionality, so we may end up migrating Gymnation to that. I just need to work out the cost of transferring everything across, and whether we can continue to add custom features on the new platform.

 

TLDR: Can't do it now. May be able to soon.
