awesome! totally love all the movies and also the story of how they came to be.. sylvester just as inspiring for me as arnie he's the man!

 

fact of the day: sylvester spent so much time punching cold meat for that freezer scene in the movies that all his knuckles became perfectly aligned (to this day) instead of slight staggered

 

for anyone who doesn't know the story of rocky (how it all came to be), i highly recommend you check it out some time here told by tony robbins (awesome story teller) highly recommended.

Wow. Maybe I'm iggerant, but I never realised Stallone actually wrote Rocky.

That was a great story, although part of me wonders if it's that great, how much of it has been embellished? But whatever... it's a brilliant story regardless.

Yeah Tony Robbins is one of those motivational speaker guys and makes his money off that so some of the details might be a bit different but over all still fantastic backstory full of emotions (like wife left him, doing real bad financially, selling his dog!@!!) and persistence. also remember reading before it's true about how he had a really hard time getting leading roles because his face/speech wasn't considered star material but look where he is now.. kinda like how people told arnold he should change his last name or he'll never get famous because it's stupid and people won't be able to pronounce it these days it's a real household name

To be fair, they were right about not pronouncing Schwartzenegger properly. (And having just looked it up, I've found I can't spell Schwarzenegger either!)
