Seems it is difficult to get everything right, just completed first set of 12 when video stopped and I had to start again. Oh well I still managed 37 in the 5 minute alloted and will perhaps have an opportunity for one more attempt.

C Henwood Body weight 75.34 with 57.5kg bench press 37 reps in 5 min

Atleast this time I did all the racking and unracking and did not leave the bench, hahahaha

37 reps... wow! I wonder if Ashleymargaret is going to let that go unchallenged?! Biggrin

I will look forward to challenges but as the others have said there will probably be alot of last minute entries it may be difficult to reply to.

Made my final attepmt at Bench Press, weight in at 73.3 so 75% required 55 kg Bench Press. I managed 43 reps in the 5 minutes allowed. Hopefully I have got all the components correct this time.

So now guys, where are your videos I am sorry but 2 females lead the competition at this point in time are you going to leave it at that?????

Just did the squat challenge managed to get 46@97.5kg absolutely wrecked. I thought the challenge was going to be easy LOL the quad pump is incredible!! Was a massive wake up call cardiovascular wise. Had an epic 3-4 second pause rep.

Ill concede defeat. I know i have more in the squats but the bench is just to much for me at the moment.  You females deserve it , thats what you get when you give 100%.   Or 75% in your case :-D

I did 63 @ 85kg body weight. Filmed it all yesterday after an oly lifting meet in dunners. Just waiting for marie to email me my vid :/ my phone was dead at the time, so had to use her's to film.

I hope I can still be included, started off going parallel but ass to grass was just easier. My snatches after the squats paid for it lol.

66 reps @ 80kg with 79kg bw on squats (friday) and 40 reps on bench @ 77.5kg with 77.3kg bodyweight (sunday). Also doing it under crossfit

LOL!

 

heads up as per last competition that was run here.. the crossfitters are sneaky, they'll suddenly show up with their crazy last minute entries

Had a go at this today , wasnt goin to the mrs wanted go for a workout after work so i decided to just give it a blast, not az easy as i thought especially bein carb depleted and only havin a plate of nutragrain all day scoop of creatine and some caffeine pills to wake up lol, wasnt happy with results but still post them up, oh and had to crack up larfing watchin my benchpress vid and i got pinned for the 1st time ever lol so called for help hahaha lol.

I think i got 56 on benchpress and had to finish early as i needed a spot on last rep lol , stupid duin 30 in my 1st set but tryed to be the Hulk, and i think i got 52 on squats, did a 2nd set of bench few minutes after 1st set but failed at 47 reps, was cool enjoyed givin it a go.

Done a 2nd set of bench straight after my other one n thought i could get more but only 47 i think lol

Thanks Skeletor you are gracious in your reply, we females worked hard for it too!

We may have placed highly this round but no doubt you'll come back hard next time.

I have just watched all the entries placed and your work was the cleanest in both squat and bench press, excellent technique and so consistent. Its easy when trying to pump out volume to forget about the depth of your squats and the full depth of the press, you managed both the best.

Just wonderling guys, sorry for all the questions, me being new to the site and all.

One of the things I have really appreciated being involved in the competition is the feedback. As I got my first videos in early I had an opportunity to learn from the feedback and improve my effort and resubmit another video. When it is left to the last minute it gives no time to improve or get feedback.

Major-Flavaz seems to do spquats that imo seem not as deep as I am used to, or is this correct and I need to update my performance to this level, it would mean that I can probably squeeze out a few more reps. Also the bench press as Major-Flavaz has presented them do not require us to press to full extension. Could I also use this as a turning point instead of almost lock out, again I could squeeze out more reps.

I would like to get it correct for next time and need to know.

Hey Rebel101, i looked at some of the vids on here and everyones seemed to be around the same i watched the example of Hamishes squat vid and took it from there, i wouldnt worry to much you beat me anyway i wasnt gonna do this at all untill my partner decided to go gym after work so i just decided on the spot to give it a blast, i was really carb depleted as im dieting and in my vids was really exhausted and weak i almost died after my squat vid epsecially doing all 3 vids within half n hour , i was happy to just give it a go..

Bench was like everyone elses you didnt have to go to full lockout as it sez in the rules, if was competition bench with lockout then i would of definatly did them that way as i have done benchpress in a powerliftting meet before.

You did awesome you got this comp in the bag and you beat everyone anyway.
