YAM/SWEET POTATO/ KUMARA?

Hey guys,

 

Just have a quick question,

Just got back from living in Australia for a while and am amazed that the price of sweet potato here in New Zealand? $8 for a kg seems ridiculous (Countdown/New World)?

Anyone know any more reasonable priced places for this staple in our diets in Auckland or is this the norm? its $3 a kg in Australia

Hi Alex, you might find slightly cheaper prices at fruit-and-vege stores, but unfortunately that seems to be the price we pay for kumara right now.

Not sure why it's so much more expensive than in Aussie.
