fishing experience in parks around auckland (true story) (pics)

today i looked in the fridge and there was no meat. kinda getting sick of buying food so decided to go to western springs park and source my own. took my gf with me to make it look unsuspicious. seen the signs there saying no fishing so pretty obvious to anyone with any kind of intelligence that there are fish worth catching there. once i was at the park i found a secluded spot and took out my handline with size 5/0 hook. baited it up with a piece of bread because thats what gets chucked in there so thats probably what whatever lives there eats - pretty basic logic. after about 20 mins I had caught nothing except a handful of ducks.

was about to give up and just go home and eat some of the people we live with's food when i decided to use one of the ducks we'd caught as bait. rebaited the hook with a piece of duck and chucked the line back out. got a bite almost straight away. grabbed on the line and pulled it in quickly (im not some beta that has to fight the fish for ages because theyre too weak to pull it in).  was an ok sized fish on it. rebaited hook and chucked it out again. within 5 mins id pulled in another one.

had to leave at that point because some fagot was saying he was gonna call the cops or the council or some shit. wasnt really listening to him but we only have a small freezer anyway. took home the 2 fish and a couple of backpacks full of ducks.

assume the fish are some kind of catfish as they apparantly inhabit that pond. anyway, what other parks in auckland contain decent fish? and thats my story. what did you cunts get up to this weekend?

(only interesting sht though..not what you did at the gym or how many girls you 'almost got with'  on your epic night OTP in hamilton with your mates that dont lift)

thx

LOL! I'm not sure which bits to believe, and which is made up! But whatever... brilliant story. Liked.

As it happens, I was in another Auckland park, in another Auckland lake, looking at other Auckland fish. Sadly, I was too beta to catch any. But I suspect they'd taste like swan poo anyway.

Interesting OTP in Hamilton story, I nearly got with Todd's cousin Bex from Matamata, when I was on on the piss with Todd and the boys from the Tron, but Todd got jealli and left with Bex.Todd the sad sack claimed it was cos their babysitter rang.

Boys reckon I won't be invited to their wedding now.

Nah your fish story's better..

Yeah cool story but dried up rat kingfish look dry.

first one only just looks legal

its skin is dry because i took it out of the water and didnt have an ice bin. who cares? was 85cm and tastes good.

heres tonights meal:

had some other executives from work round (trying to impress them to get them to invest in my ponzi scheme) for a dinner party so had to get my gf something to cook. apparantly not everyone can handle fish..faggots. but anyway told them there would be turkey so just went to the lake and got this goose or whatever it is. looks kinda like a loch-ness monster. made my gf pluck and gut it. had to cook it for almost 4 hours but tasted great and had several people invested so the night was a success.
