Gym in Christchurch - Riccarton

Hi all, I was doing searches for gyms in Christchurch and happened on this forum- I'll be moving to Riccarton at the end of this month so I'm looking for a gym in the suburb - anyone know of any good ones? I've found Snap and Anytime fitness but it looks like Anytime will be too expensive for me and I saw a post from a few years ago saying Snap was pretty average.

The only one's I know of are the ones you've mentioned in Riccarton, I'm a Anytime Fitness member but I use Shirley and Cashmere as the Riccarton one I find is dirty, small and odd lay out. It also it very noisey, drop a weight or even talk and it echos across the gym more than it should. Never been to Snap but all the Snaps I know of are even smaller than Anytime, I guess just get a free trial and see how you find it and choose to whatever suits you. I think I'll be changing to City Fitness or Fitness Canterbury this year but Good Luck

Oh right I haven't experienced a quiet gym before haha, the Jetts I use always have music playing at a decent volume so there's never been echoing, hope it's not too bad. Any chance you could tell me how much the regular cost is for Anytime? And Snap if you know? And yeah I'll definitely be doing the free trials before I sign up for either!

Uni gym is in riccarton/ilam its open to public.  Some of the equipment is pretty old and shitty though.  Gets the job done. Otherwise cityfit.  The 24hr chains are ok... Depends how u train and what your training for.

I think theres a snap fitness in riccarton - good as you can go to any gym in the country and they have no contracts.
